Poetic Translation
He partook in the task of the Holy.
The Lord Himself came and gave a hand.
Blessed is the land, blessed is the pool
Overflowing with Amrit.
Filled with water the like of nectar.
The project came to be completed,
And the objective was realized.
There is rejoicing all over,
Sorrows have taken their flight.
The Lord God, Perfection Incarnate, Eternal and Immortal,
Whose praises the Vedas and Puranas have sung,
Came to help Nanak who had His Name on his tongue. (1)
Gurmukhi-English Translation
ਸੰਤਾ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਜਿ ਆਪਿ ਖਲੋਇਆ ਹਰਿ, ਕੰਮੁ ਕਰਾਵਣਿ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
The Lord God has Himself stood up to fulfill the saint's task and has Himself come to do their affair,
ਧਰਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਤਾਲੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਲੁ ਛਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
Into the beauteous land and the beauteous tank is contained the Nectareous water.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਲੁ ਛਾਇਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਾਜੁ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
The Nectareous water is filling the tank, my task is completed and all my desires are fulfilled.
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਭਇਆ ਜਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲਾਥੇ ਸਗਲ ਵਿਸੂਰੇ ॥
The ovations of victory resound in the World and all my woes are at an end.
ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਚੁਤ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਜਸੁ ਵੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
The Vedas and the Puranas sing the praise of the perfect, Omnipotent, Immovable, and Imperishable Lord.
ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਰਖਿਆ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੧॥
The Lord has honored His creed and Nanak has meditated on the Lord's Name.
संतां के कारज आप खलोया हरि Lyrics in Hindi
संता के कारज आपि खलोआ हरि, कम करावण आया राम ॥
संतों के शुभ-कार्य में ईश्वर स्वयं सहायक हुआ है, यह कार्य सम्पन्न करवाने के लिए वह स्वयं आया है।
धरत सुहावी ताल सुहावा विच अमृत जल छाया राम ॥
अब धरती सुहावनी हो गई है एवं पावन सरोवर भी बड़ा सुन्दर लगता है। इस सरोवर में अमृत-जल भर गया है।
अमृत जल छाया पूरन साज कराया सगल मनोरथ पूरे ॥
परमात्मा की कृपा से इसमें अमृत-जल भर गया है, उसने स्वयं समूचा कार्य सम्पन्न कर दिया है, इस प्रकार संतों के सारे मनोरथ पूरे हो गए हैं।
जै जै कार भया जग अंतर लाथे सगल विसूरे ॥
सारे जगत् में (प्रभु की) जय-जयकार हो रही है और संतों की सब चिन्ताएँ मिट गई हैं।
पूरन पुरख अचुत अबिनासी जस वेद पुराणी गाया ॥
पूर्ण परम पुरुष, अच्युत एवं अविनाशी परमात्मा का यश वेदों एवं पुराणों ने गाया है।
अपना बिरद रखिआ परमेसर नानक नाम धिआया ॥१॥
हे नानक ! जब भी संतों ने नाम का ध्यान किया है तो परमेश्वर ने अपने विरद् का पालन किया है।॥ १॥
Explanation
O, Brother! The Lord has Himself appeared in the form of the Guru to cause and perform good actions in the company of the holy saints. The body of the saints is made beautifully like the Earth, wherein the heart is created like a gorgeous tank filled with the nectar-like True Name.
The True Master has made all the arrangements perfect so as to bestow us with the nectar of True Name, resulting in all our desires being fulfilled. With all these preparations, the holy saints get honored and acclaimed worldwide and all our ills and sufferings are cast away in the company of the holy saints.
O Nanak! The True Master is perfect in all respects and is neither subjected to the cycle of births and deaths nor perishes, in fact, His praises have been sung by the Vedas and Puranas even. Now we have recited the Lord's True Name who has protected our honor by accepting us as His devotees (slaves). (1)
