Dhanasari Mahala -5 ( Jin Tum Bheje Tinhi Bulaaye )
O, Brother! The Lord, who has sent you to this world, has called you back to (befriend you) Him so that You may realize the secret of His creation through the light of His knowledge and may rest in peace within Your inner self. Thus, you may remember the Lord in a state of equipoise by singing His Praises, thereby attaining peace, and enjoying the bliss of an eternal kingdom of heaven, which would be everlasting. (1)
O, my friend! Beloved of the Lord! Try to concentrate on yourself and attain peace within, instead of wandering all over the world in confusion. All the vicious thoughts (factors) like sexual desires and anger which are likely to embarrass and perturb the Lord Himself have cast you away, and as such all your sufferings have ended. (Pause) The Lord-creator has revealed the truth (before) to you so that your wanderings in the cycle of births and deaths could be ended. Now we hear the unstrung (all-pervasive) music of Nature with joy within us and the Lord has accepted us, having - pardoned our sins. (2)
O, my mind! Let us rest in peace with the support of the Guru's message with full concentration and steadfastness, without faltering due to our dual-mindedness! Thus, we will be honoured throughout the lands and the worlds around us and praised in the Lord's Presence, leaving this world with all flying colours, at the end of this life. (3)
O, Nanak! The Lord who has created You in His way of thinking, with the help of the Guru's teachings, now protects you. The Lord's benefactor has made you wonder and surprised you by uniting you with the True Master, thus revealing the secret of His Nature to you. But this has been made possible through the Grace and Greatness of the Lord Himself. (4-4-28)

(ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ!) ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ) ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹੁ। ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਰੌ ਵਿਚ, ਆਨੰਦ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰਿ-ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਉਤੇ) ਅਟੱਲ ਰਾਜ ਕਰ ॥੧॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ (ਮਨ)! (ਹੁਣ) ਤੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹੁ (ਆ ਜਾ)। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੈ ਰਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਦੀ) ਬਿਪਤਾ (ਹੁਣ) ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ (ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ!) ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਟਕਣਾਂ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈਆਂ। ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਵਾਜੇ ਸਦਾ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
(ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ, ਤੂੰ ਭੀ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ) ਪੱਕੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਖਲੋ ਜਾ, ਵੇਖੀਂ, ਹੁਣ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਡੋਲੀਂ। ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਜਲਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੩॥ ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜੀਵ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਮੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ! ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਅਨੋਖੀ ਖੇਡ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੪॥੨੮॥

धनासरी महला ५ ॥ जिस परमात्मा ने तुझे दुनिया में भेजा है, उसने ही अब तुझे वापिस बुला लिया है। अंतः सुख एवं आनंदपूर्वक अपने मूल घर (परमात्मा के चरणों) में वापिस आ जाओ। आनंदपूर्वक मधुर ध्वनि में प्रभु-महिमा के मंगल गीत गायन करो और इस शरीर रूपी नगरी पर अटल राज करो॥ १॥
हे मेरे मित्र ! तुम अपने मूल घर में वापिस आ जाओ। तुम्हारे वैरियों-कामवासना, क्रोध, लालच, मोह एवं अहंकार को भगवान ने स्वयं ही तुझसे दूर कर दिया है तथा तेरी विपत्ति का समय अब बीत गया है॥ रहाउ ॥ रचयिता प्रभु ने तुझे दुनिया में लोकप्रिय कर दिया है और अब तेरी भाग-दौड़ खत्म हो गई है। अब तेरे घर में नित्य ही खुशी की अनहद ध्वनियों वाले बाजे बजते रहते हैं और तेरे अपने मालिक ने तुझे सत्कृत किया है॥ २॥
गुरु की वाणी के आधार पर स्थिर होकर रहो और कभी भी विचलित मत होना। सारा जगत तेरी जय-जयकार करेगा और तूं उज्ज्वल मुख से प्रभु के दरबार में सम्मानपूर्वक जाएगा॥ ३॥
जिसने ये जीव उत्पन्न किए हैं, उसने ही इन्हें भटका कर फिर से सन्मार्ग लगाया है और वह स्वयं ही इनका सहायक बन गया है। हे नानक ! रचयिता प्रभु ने एक अदभुत लीला रची है और उसकी बड़ाई सदैव सत्य है॥ ४॥ ४॥ २८॥
