His death reflects the spirit of the Sikh nation and makes people remember the ideas of justice, equality and freedom of religion that Guru Arjan Dev Ji fought for till his death.

Sikhs across the globe assemble at gurdwaras and perform Ardaas (prayers), sing kirtan, and listen to discourses that elucidate the messages of Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
