English Translation

Suhi Mahala - 3rd ( Kaya Kaaman At Sualio )

O, Brother! The person is really beautiful in whose heart the Lord-spouse abides (like the woman having the company of her spouse) and recites the Lord's True Name through the Guru's guidance. Such a person is always blissful, having united with the Lord-spouse (like the wedded woman) In fact, he has cast away and burnt the filth of his egoism from within and always remains immersed in the True Name, being imbued with the love of the Lord-spouse. (1)

O, Man! The perfect Guru is really wonderful along with His Word (bani), which has been spoken (sung) by the perfect Guru. Such a person enjoys the bliss of life, in the company of the Lord, having attained unison with the Lord-spouse (Pause - 1)

Everything is present within this human frame (body) including the earth, cosmos, all the spheres of the world, and the underworld (Netherland) with all the craters, in fact even the Lord- benefactor, who looks after our sustenance abides within this body. Such a human being (body), who has maintained the value of True Name through the Guru's guidance, enjoys eternal bliss like the wedded woman in love with her spouse. (2)

The Lord Himself abides in this human body but in a latent form. He is neither seen nor could He be described by anyone. However, He cannot be perceived by the foolish faithless persons, who are wandering outside in trying to seek Him (in the jungles) as they are not aware of the Lord's reality and His secrets. But the persons, who have realized and perceived the hidden Lord through the Guru's Grace, get engaged in the service of the True Guru, thus enjoying eternal bliss. They get immersed in explaining and describing the indescribable Lord. (3)

The invaluable virtues and jewels, including the treasure of (worship) True Name, are all existing in full measure within this body. Even the nine regions of the Earth including towns and markets with shops are all present within this body. Even the True Name worth all the nine treasures of the world, is existing within this body which could be realized and attained only through the Guru's teachings. (4)

This mind is full of all the qualities of knowledge, detachment, and wisdom, which cannot be evaluated by us, and the Lord Himself, being present therein, enables us to deliberate over all these virtues. All these virtues could be evaluated through (recitation of) True Name only which is attainable through the Guru's guidance. (5)

If there were any Guru-minded person then he would attain the Lord from within this body even, whereas the whole world is lost in whims, fancies, and dual-mindedness. All the senses are engrossed in their clever moves or wisdom, whereas the person, blessed with the Lord's Grace and proper understanding, realizes the Truth and Lord's secrets. The Lord's fear and love (wonder-awe) are present within this body but this love is imbued within (the body) only through the Guru's guidance and His Grace. (6)

Even the three gods. Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, responsible for creation, sustenance, and death (destruction) are present within this body. The cycle of births and deaths prevalent in the world and the worldly drama are being enacted by the Lord Himself. The persons, who have been enabled to realize the Lord by reciting their True Name through the Guru's guidance, have attained salvation. (Freedom from worldly bondage). (7)

O, Brother! The human body, which is bestowed by the Lord with His Grace and imbued with His love, gets engaged in His service. But no one gains access to the Lord's presence without the support of True Name, and such persons have to face punishment and dishonor at the hands of Yama. (god of death). O Nanak! The Guru-minded person, bestowed with the Grace of the Lord, attains real greatness and acclaim. (in the world) (8-2)

सूही महला ३ ॥ ( Kaya Kaaman At Sualio ) हे भाई ! काया रूपी अत्यंत सुन्दर कामिनी वही है, जिसके साथ उसका पति-प्रभु बसता है। वह गुरु का शब्द अन्तर्मन में बसाकर रखती है और सच्चे प्रभु के मिलाप से सदा सुहागिन बनी रहती है। जो व्यक्ति भगवान की भक्ति में सर्वदा लीन रहता है, वह अपने अन्तर से अहंत्व को जला देता है॥ १॥

पूर्ण गुरु की वाणी धन्य-धन्य है। पूर्ण गुरु के हृदय से उत्पन्न हुई यह सत्य में ही समाई रहती है॥ १॥ रहाउ॥

खण्ड, मण्डल एवं पाताल इत्यादि सबकुछ शरीर में ही बसता है, इस शरीर में ही जग को जीवन देने वाला प्रभु बसता है, जो सब जीवों की परवरिश करता है। जो व्यक्ति गुरुमुख बनकर परमात्मा का नाम स्मरण करता रहता है, उसकी शरीर रूपी स्त्री सदैव सुखी रहती है॥ २॥

इस शरीर में परमात्मा स्वयं ही बसता है लेकिन अदृष्ट प्रभु देखा नहीं जा सकता। मूर्ख स्वेच्छाचारी इस तथ्य को नहीं बूझता और वह भगवान को ढूंढने हेतु बाहर वनों में जाता है। जो गुरु की सेवा करता है, वह हमेशा सुख प्राप्त करता है। गुरु ने मुझे अदृष्ट परमात्मा के दर्शन करवा दिए हैं।॥ ३॥

इस शरीर में ही रत्न-पदार्थ विद्यमान हैं और भक्ति के भण्डार भरे हुए हैं। इस शरीर में ही पृथ्वी के नौ खण्ड, दुकानें, नगर एवं बाज़ार हैं। इस शरीर में ही परमात्मा के नाम की नवनिधियां मौजूद हैं लेकिन इनकी प्राप्ति गुरु के शब्द चिंतन द्वारा ही होती है।॥ ४॥

तोलने वाला परमात्मा स्वयं ही शरीर में इन रत्न-पदार्थों को तोलकर तुलाता है। यह मन रत्न, जवाहर एवं माणिक्य है और इसका मूल्य बहुत बड़ा है। परमात्मा का नाम किसी भी मूल्य पर पाया नहीं जा सकता। यह तो गुरु के उपदेश द्वारा ही पाया जाता है॥ ५ ॥

जो व्यक्ति गुरुमुख बन जाता है, वह अपने शरीर में ही नाम को खोजता है। शेष सारी दुनिया भ्रम में ही भूली हुई है। जिसे परमात्मा अपना नाम देता है, वही उसे प्राप्त करता है। अन्य कोई क्या चतुराई कर सकता है? इस शरीर में ही प्रभु का भय एवं प्रेम बसता है परन्तु यह गुरु की कृपा से ही पाए जाते हैं।॥ ६॥

इस शरीर में त्रिदेव-ब्रह्म, विष्णु एवं शिवशंकर बसते हैं, जिन से सारे संसार की उत्पत्ति हुई है। जन्म-मरण रूपी प्रसार करके सच्चे प्रभु ने अपना एक खेल रचा हुआ है। पूर्ण सतगुरु ने स्वयं ही दिखा दिया है कि सत्य-नाम द्वारा ही मुक्ति होती है॥ ७॥

यह शरीर जो सतगुरु की सेवा करता है, सच्चे प्रभु ने स्वयं ही उसे सुन्दर बना दिया है। ईश्वर के नाम बिना सत्य के द्वार पर आदमी को अन्य कोई अवलम्ब नहीं मिलता और तो ही यम उसे तंग करता है। हे नानक ! जिस पर प्रभु ने अपनी कृपा की है, उसे ही सत्य-नाम की बड़ाई हासिल हुई है॥ ८॥ २॥

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਜਿਸ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਭਾਗ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਾੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਖੰਡਾਂ ਮੰਡਲਾਂ ਪਾਤਾਲਾਂ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ) ਦਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਸੁਖ ਉਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਉਹ ਦਾਤਾਰ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।੨।
