ਬਿਲਾਵਲ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥ ਛੰਤ ॥ ( Mangal Saaj Bhaya Prabh Apna Gaya Ram )
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ ॥ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥

ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਅਵਸਰ ਆ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਮਰ ਲਾੜੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਹੈ ॥ ਸਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਲਭਧ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਮਾਲਕ ਨਾਲ ਕਦੋਂ ਮਿਲਾਂਗੀ?
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖ-ਮਤ ਦੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਲਮ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂ ॥
ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਖਲੋ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ ॥ ਕਿਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹਾਂ?
ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਬਿਨੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲੈ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ!

ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਰੀਦ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥
ਖੋਜੀ ਨੇ ਖੋਜ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ, ਜਵੇਹਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥
ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲਾਡਲੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਅਕਹਿ ਕਥਾ-ਵਾਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥
ਇਕਾਗਰ ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥
ਹੱਥ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, “ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਦਾ ਨਫਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਗੋਲਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਥਾਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੈਂ ॥

ਮੇਰੀ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਮਿਥੀ ਹੋਈ ਤਰੀਕ ਅਮੇਟ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ॥
ਮੈਂ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਆਰਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ ॥
ਸਾਧੂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਉਹ ਬਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਜਾਂੀ ਬਣਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਢੁੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ, ਦਿਲੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਨੂਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨੂਰ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਧੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ ॥

ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਘਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਲੱਖਣਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਵਿਹੜਾ ॥
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀ ਪੈਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀ ਡਿੱਗ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਗ ਉਠੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ॥
ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਚਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਤੇ, ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਈ ਹਾਂ ॥
ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਗੂੰਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨੂਏ ਦੀ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਮੈਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ-ਸੁਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ ॥

English Translation

Bilawal Mahala 5th Chhant Ik Onkar Satgur Prasad ( Mangal Saaj Bhaya Prabh Apna Gaya Ram )
"By the Grace of the One Lord-Sublime, attainable through the Guru's guidance."

We have sung the praises of the Lord, which has become the means of enjoying eternal bliss. Listening to the True Name of the Imperishable Lord (ever-existent Lord), my new urge and longing for happiness has sprung up. The persons, who are fortunate and pre-destined by the Lord's Will are imbued with the love of the Lord. They thus proclaim (ask), when shall we meet (unite with) the perfect True Master? O Saintly friends! May You bless me with this wisdom so that I could attain the Lord-Gobind by attaining the state of equipoise? O saints! I would solicit you by (standing before you) and serving you day and night. How have you managed to attain the Lord-sublime? O Nanak! May the Lord enable me to be united with Him through His Grace! (1)

Having attained (purchased) the jewel of the True Name of the Lord, we have enjoyed great joy and bliss of life. The saints, who are seekers of Truth have (taught) shown us the path of attaining the Lord, as the Lord always abides by the side of (within) the saints. When we met the holy saints, the beloved of the Lord, we were given discourses on the attainment of the Lord through their Grace and mercy. Let us recite the True Name of the Lord, (worship the Lord) with devotion and concentration (of mind) by developing His love. Let us pray to the True Master with folded hands to gain the boon of singing His praises. O Nanak! My Lord is limitless and beyond our comprehension, and I am His (slave) devotee. (2)

The persons, who have developed never-ending love of the Lord, have been united with the True Master. By joining the company of the holy saints, we have (attained) worshipped the True Lord, like the wondrous bridegroom's party. (while the Lord is the bridegroom). We proceeded to the bride's house by joining the company of holy saints, where the bride's party also developed the love of the Lord, and combined with the holy saints. Now the Sikhs from both sides (bride and bride-groom) have joined hands to recite the True Name and enjoyed the bliss of True Name when their soul got merged with the Prime soul (like the warp and woof of the weaver). O Nanak! The Sikhs have been united with the Lord, the cause and effect of everything. (3)

Thus they have enjoyed all the bliss of life with all the functions completed successfully. The place has become beautiful, while the land is also blessed and praiseworthy where the Lord has landed (abided) in the house and I have taken refuge at the Guru's lotus feet. Now all my desires have been fulfilled by taking the support of the Guru by attaining the state of equipoise. All my hopes have been fulfilled by taking the dust of the lotus feet of the saints as now we have been united with the Lord, who were separated (from Him) for a long. By eliminating my egoism, I am enjoying eternal bliss day and night.
O Nanak! I have been imbued with the love of the Lord, by taking the support of the Lord in the company of holy saints. (4-1)

बिलावलु महला ५ छंत
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥ ( Mangal Saaj Bhaya Prabh Apna Gaya Ram )

हे सखी ! बड़ा खुशी का अवसर आ बना है, मैंने अपने प्रभु का यशोगान किया है।
जब अपने अविनाशी वर का नाम सुना तो मेरे मन में बड़ा चाव उत्पन्न हो गया।
बड़े भाग्य से मेरे मन में उसके लिए प्रीति लगी है, अब पूर्ण पति-प्रभु से कब मिलन होगा ?
हे सखी ! मुझे ऐसी शिक्षा दो कि मैं गोविंद को पा लूं और सहज ही उसमें लीन रहूँ।
मैं दिन-रात उसकी बड़ी सेवा करूँगी, फिर किस युक्ति से प्रभु को पाया जा सकता है।
नानक की विनती है कि हे प्रभु ! कृपा करके मुझे अपने साथ मिला लो॥ १॥

जब शुभ समय आया तो मैंने हरि रूपी रत्न खरीद लिया।
खोजी ने खोज कर उसे हरि के संतों से ढूंढा है।
मुझे प्यारे संत मिल गए हैं, जो दया करके अकथनीय कथा करते रहते हैं।
मैं प्रेम-प्रीति लगाकर एकाग्रचित होकर अपने स्वामी का ध्यान करती रहती हूँ।
अपने हाथ जोड़कर मैं प्रभु से विनती करती हूँ कि मुझे हरि-यश रूपी लाभ प्राप्त हो।
नानक विनती करता है कि हे अगम्य-अथाह प्रभु ! मैं तेरा दास हूँ॥ २॥

हे सखी ! प्रभु से विवाह का मुहूर्त अटल है और सारे संयोग पूरे मिलते हैं।
मुझे सर्व सुख प्राप्त हो गए हैं और मेरा वियोग दूर हो गया है।
संत मिलकर आए हैं, जो प्रभु का ध्यान कर रहे हैं। इस तरह वे अद्भुत बाराती बने हुए हैं।
वे सभी इकट्टे होकर बारात में मिलकर शान्ति से मेरे घर आ पहुँचे हैं। मेरे संबंधियों के मन में उनके लिए प्रेम उत्पन्न हो गया है।
मेरी ज्योत परमज्योति में मिलकर ताने-बाने की तरह एक हो गई है। सभी मिलकर हरि-नाम रूपी रस भोग रहे हैं।
नानक विनती करता है कि संतों ने जीव-स्त्री का उस प्रभु से मिलन करवा दिया है, जो सब करने-कराने में समर्थ है॥ ३॥

मेरा घर बड़ा सुन्दर बन गया है, धरती भी भाग्यशाली हो गई है।
मेरा प्रभु घर में आया है। मैं गुरु के चरणों में लग गई हूँ
गुरु के चरणों में लगने से अब मैं सहज ही अज्ञान की निद्रा से जाग गई हूँ, मेरी सब कामनाएँ पूरी हो गई हैं।
संतों की चरण-धूलि लेने से मेरी आशा पूरी हो गई है, मेरा बिछुड़ा हुआ पति-प्रभु मुझे मिल गया है।
मेरा हर दिन आनंद में व्यतीत होता है, मन में अनहद शब्द बजता रहता है और मैंने अपने मन की अहंबुद्धि त्याग दी है।
नानक की विनती है कि हे स्वामी ! मैं तेरी शरण में आया हूँ और संतों के संग तुझसे ही लगन लगी रहती है।४॥ १॥
