1. English Translation

Ramkali Mahala Pehla ( Surat Sabad Saakhi Meri Singhi.. )

We could hear the unstrung (all pervasive) music of Nature by taking the Guru's Word (Sabad) as a witness, which is attended by the other people O Lord! We have spread the cloth for obtaining the alms (boon) of True Name, which could sustain our prestige. (1)

O, Yogi! The True Gorakh is the Guru's Word, which enlightens the mind, which has enacted the worldly drama and the Lord does not take long to create this Universe. (Pause - 1)

The Lord has created this body out of five elements like air and water and then gave life to it with the soul established therein. Then the sun and moon were created as the two main light sources (like lamps). But this thankless being (man) has forgotten all the favors or blessings of the Lord who had provided this Earth (land) both for treading during life and death (to cover him). (2)

There are plenty of beings like Siddhas, Yogis, mendicants, and saints, with occult powers, whom we should meet to sing the praises of the Lord and then serve Him with love. (3)

The saints lead a life free from all sufferings and afflictions in this world just as the lotus-flower remains unaffected in water even or paper and salt remain alongwith ghee without being affected. O Nanak ! What harm could the Yama do to such holy saints, who are united with the Lord? (4 - 4)

रामकली महला १ ॥ अनहद शब्द की ध्वनि को सुरति द्वारा सुनना ही मेरी सिंगी है, जब अनहद शब्द बजता है तो इसे सभी लोग सुनते हैं। नाम मॉगने के लिए स्वयं को योग्य बनाना ही मेरी झोली है,जिस में नाम रूपी भिक्षा डाली जाती है।१॥ हे बाबा ! गोरख सदैव जाग्रत है। गोरख वही (परमेश्वर) है, जिसने पृथ्वी को उठाकर उसकी रक्षा की थी और ऐसा करते देरी नहीं लगी ॥ १॥रहाउ॥

परमात्मा ने पवन-पानी इत्यादि पाँच तत्वों द्वारा प्राणों को बाँधकर रखा हुआ है और संसार में उजाला करने के लिए सूर्य एवं चन्द्रमा दो दीपक प्रज्वलित किए हुए हैं। उसने मरने एवं जीने के लिए जीवों को धरती दी हुई है लेकिन जीव को उसके इतने सब उपकार भूल गए हैं।॥ २॥ संसार में सिद्ध-साधक, योगी, जंगम एवं अनेक पीर-पैगम्बर हैं, यदि उनसे मेरी मुलाकात हो तो भी परमात्मा की स्तुति करता हूँ और मेरा मन प्रभु की सेवा करे॥ ३॥ जैसे कागज एवं नमक घी के साथ सुरक्षित रहते हैं (अर्थात् खराब नहीं होते) और कमल का फूल जल में खिला रहता है, हे नानक ! वैसे ही जिन्हें ऐसे भक्त मिल जाते हैं, यम उनका क्या बिगाड़ सकता है। ॥४ ॥ ४ ॥

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥
ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਮੇਰੀ ਤੁਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੀਲੀ ਸੁਰ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਸੁਣਦੀ ਹੈ ॥
ਇਜ਼ਤ ਆਬਰੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੰਗਣ ਲਈ ਖੱਪਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਖੈਰ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਚਾਹਣਾ ਹੈ ॥
ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ! ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਰੱਖਿਅਕ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਗੋਰਖ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸ਼੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਦਿਆਂ ਚਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ ਠਹਿਰਾਓ ॥

ਜਲ, ਹਵਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਦੇਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਿੰਦ ਜਾਨ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਨ ਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹਨ ॥
ਮਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਊਣ ਲਈ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਐਨੇ ਉਪਕਾਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ॥
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਾਮਾਤੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਅਭਿਆਸੀ, ਯੋਗੀ, ਰਮਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ, ਰੂਹਾਨੀ ਰਹਿਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਕ ਬੰਦੇ ॥
ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਵਾਂ, ਛਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਏਗਾ ॥
ਕਾਗਜ਼ ਤੇ ਲੂਣ, ਘਿਓ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹੀ ਸਲਾਮਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਵਲ ਫੁਲ ਜਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਵਿਚਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
ਜੋ ਐਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੌਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ॥
