ਅਤਿ ਊਚਾ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥
ਅੰਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰਾ ॥
ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਲਖ ਧਾਵੈ ॥

ਵਿਆਖਿਆ:

ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨਤਾ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਅੰਤ ਜਾਂ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਸਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਸਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਤਿਲ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।

ਲੱਖਾਂ ਭਗਤ, ਤਪੱਸਵੀ, ਜੋਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਭੋਗੀ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਹਰ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ (ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ) ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰਲੇ ਅਗਿਆਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜ ਸਕੇ? ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ (ਗੁਰੂ) ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਮ ਮਿਟ ਗਏ। ਉਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ। ਬੇਸ਼ੱਕ, ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ।

Ant Naahee Kichh Paaraavaaraa.

His Darbaar, His Court, is the most lofty and exalted. It has no end or limitations.

Kot Kot Kot Lakh Dhaavai.
Ik Til Taa Kaa Mahal Na Paavai. ||1||

Millions, millions, tens of millions seek, but they cannot find even a tiny bit of His Mansion. ||1||

वडहंस महला ५ घर १ ੴ सतिगुर प्रसाद ॥
वडहंस, महला ५, घर १: एक ओंकार, सतिगुर की कृपा से।

अत ऊचा ता का दरबारा ॥अंत नाही किछ पारावारा ॥
उसका दरबार बहुत ऊँचा और महान है । उसका कोई अंत या सीमा नहीं है ।

कोट कोट कोट लख धावै ॥इक तिल ता का महल न पावै ॥१॥
करोड़ों, करोड़ों, लाखों लोग उसकी तलाश करते हैं, लेकिन वे उसके महल का एक तिल मात्र भी नहीं पा सकते। ||१||

सुहावी कौण सु वेला जित प्रभ मेला ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
वह कौन सा शुभ और सुहावना समय है, जब भगवान से मिलाप होता है? ||१||रहाउ||

लाख भगत जा कौ आराधहि ॥लाख तपीसर तप ही साधहि ॥
लाखों भक्त उसकी आराधना करते हैं । लाखों महान तपस्वी कठिन तपस्या करते हैं ।

लाख जोगीसर करते जोगा ॥
लाख भोगीसर भोगहि भोगा ॥२॥

लाखों महान योगी योग का अभ्यास करते हैं। लाखों भोगी अपने सुखों का भोग करते हैं। ||२||

घट घट वसहि जाणहि थोरा ॥
है कोई साजण परदा तोरा ॥

वह कण-कण में, हर हृदय में बसता है, लेकिन बहुत कम लोग उसे पहचानते हैं। क्या कोई ऐसा मित्र (सद्गुरु) है जो इस अज्ञानता के पर्दे को फाड़ सके?

करौ जतन जे होइ मिहरवाना ॥
ता कौ देई जीउ कुरबाना ॥३॥

मैं प्रयास करता हूँ कि यदि वह मुझ पर मेहरबान हो जाए। मैं ऐसे मित्र के ऊपर अपनी जान कुर्बान करता हूँ। ||३||

फिरत फिरत संतन पहि आया ॥
दूख भ्रम हमारा सगल मिटाया ॥

भटकते-भटकते मैं संतों (गुरु) की शरण में आ गया । उन्होंने मेरे सारे दुख और भ्रम मिटा दिए हैं ।

महल बुलाया प्रभ अमृत भूंचा ॥कहु नानक प्रभु मेरा ऊचा ॥४॥१॥
प्रभु ने मुझे अपने महल में बुला लिया है और मैंने नाम-अमृत का पान कर लिया है । हे नानक! कहो, मेरा भगवान सबसे ऊँचा है। ||४||१||
