Bhai Taru Singh Ji Martyrdom Day
Bhai Taru Singh Ji is the reason behind what we call in Ardas "Jinha Khoprian Lohaiyan" & "Sikhi Sidak Kesa Swasa Naal Nibhai". Born during the 1720s, Bhai Taru Singh Ji was martyred (got Shaheedi) by the orders of Zakariya Khan for helping exiled Khalsa and a Muslim man Rahim Baksh.

According to Sikh traditions Bhai Taru Singh died in 1745 AD and his skull continued to be alive for 22 days. It is a part of our daily prayers to remember the great martyrdom of Bhai Taru Singh Ji. In today’s world, the younger generation should draw lessons from the Shaheedi of Bhai Taru Singh Ji. They should try to live a virtuous life, be loyal to their religion and try to utilize the blessings granted by our Guru and Waheguru in this world.
They should not lose sight of what has been bestowed to us as a legacy, nor should they be consumed by the latest craze and trends. Only then can Sikhi flourish.
