Fagan is the 11th month of the Nanakshahi Samvat, the Sikh calendar. Barah Maha Manjh Gurbani of Fagan Month
In Barah Maha Manjh of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Bani on Month of Phalgun, Fagan is documented on Ang 136 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
English Translation
During the month of Phagun or Fagan, the persons in whose hearts the Lord's vision (light) has appeared, will feel elated and enjoy perfect harmony. With the help of dear holy saints of the Lord, I have also been enabled to unite with the Lord through their kindness.
Now my heart is at peace and looks grand with the Lord's presence all around, and I enjoy all comforts leaving no room for misery. Now I consider myself really fortunate in finding the Lord-spouse of my choice and in the company of my friends. I enjoy singing the praises of the Lord and glorifying His Greatness.
There is no one equivalent to the Lord's stature. He has helped His Saints make their life peaceful here and hereafter, and bestow a permanent place in the Universe, beyond destruction. They have been saved from the torture of this ocean of life, taking them out of the cycle of births and deaths.
What is Hukamnama of the month of Phalguna?
O Nanak! The Lord's Greatness and qualities are beyond count while I have only one tongue, so how could I express His Grandeur and Vastness? The persons, whom the Lord has united with Himself, have really crossed this ocean of life successfully. So let us praise the Lord, during this month of Phalguna, who is beyond all, this praise even, without any greed.
The Guru-minded persons, who have remembered the Lord and meditated on His True Name, have been successful in all their efforts. He is received with honor in the Lord's Court as perfect With the touch of the Lord's lotus feet, whosoever has remembered the Lord with faith and devotion. He attained the treasure of all bliss. Such Guru-minded persons have crossed the troubled waters of the ocean of life successfully.
They have been blessed with the love and devotion of the Lord so that they are saved from burning in the fire of vices, and they have cleared their minds of dual. mindedness, and falsehood, thus filling their hearts with the true love of the Lord alone.
They serve the True Master with single-mindedness and taking Him as their only support, they meditate on Him. But the fact remains that once the Lord bestows His Grace on any person, all months, days, and times are auspicious and successful for Him. Oh, man! In the month of Falgun, we should always glorify that Lord, who has absolutely no desire to glorify Him.

फाल्गुन के महीने में केवल वही आनंद प्राप्त करते हैं, जिनके हृदय में साजन हरि प्रभु प्रकट हुआ है।
संतजन राम से मिलन करवाने हेतु जीव की सहायता कहते हैं। प्रभु ने कृपा करके संतों से मिला दिया है।
उसकी हृदय रूपी शैय्या बहुत सुन्दर है, अब सर्व सुख प्राप्त हुए हैं और दुखों के लिए अब कोई स्थान नहीं।
भाग्यशाली जीव-स्त्री की इच्छा पूरी हो गई है, उसे हरि-प्रभु वर के रूप में मिल गया है।
वह अपनी सत्संगी सखियों सहित मंगल गीत गायन करती है और वह गोविन्द का ही भजन करती रहती है।
हरि-प्रभु समान उसे अन्य कोई दिखाई नहीं देता। उस प्रभु के समान अन्य कोई नहीं है।
प्रभु ने उसका लोक-परलोक संवार दिया है और उसे अटल स्थान दे दिया है।
प्रभु ने उसे भवसागर से बचा लिया है और वह पुनः जन्म-मरण के चक्र में नहीं आएगी।
हे नानक! मनुष्य की रसना तो एक है परन्तु प्रभु के गुण असीम हैं।
मनुष्य उसके चरणों से लगकर भवसागर से पार हो जाता है।
हे मनुष्य! फाल्गुन के महीने में हमें सदैव उस प्रभु की महिमा-स्तुति करनी चाहिए, जिसे तिल मात्र भी अपनी महिमा करवाने की लालसा नहीं ॥
Punjabi Translation
ਫਗਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ, ਪਰਤੱਖ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥
ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥
ਮੇਰਾ ਪਲੰਘ ਸ਼ੋਭਨੀਕ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਤਕਲੀਫਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਕੋਈ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥
ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਬੜੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਾਂ ॥
ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਭਜਨ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਰਗਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ॥ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਨਹੀਂ ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਦਿਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੁਸਤਕਿਲ ਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਵਾਂਗਾ ॥
ਮੇਰੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਜੀਭ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਘਲੇਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਉਤਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਤਾਈਆਂ ॥ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਰੀ ਡਿਗ ਕੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥
ਫਗਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਭੋਰਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਤਮ੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥
