Satgur Shabad Ujaro Deepa

1. English Translation

Rag Bilawal Mahala - 5th Choupde Dupade Ghar - 7 Ik onkar satgur prasad (Satgur sabad uja'ro deepa.......)"By the Grace of the Lord-sublime, Truth personified & attainable through the Guru's guidance."

O Brother! The place, where the lamp of the Guru's teachings is lit, gets enlightened with the knowledge of the Lord. The darkness of ignorance has been (dispelled) cast away from the heart with the Guru's message (Guru's teachings) and the virtues have appeared as the door of virtuous deeds has opened up with the Guru's guidance. (Pause - 1)

O True Master! We were thrilled and wonder struck to have perceived your glimpse and cannot describe Your Greatness and grandeur even, having attained the state of bliss of life, as Your might and presence was felt pervading all around like the warp and woof (of the weaver). So we were enamoured by the Lord's presence and enjoyed the thrill and bliss of His unison. (1)

O True Master! Whatever worldly bondage and involvements of the body we were engrossed in, now appeared useless and without any purpose, as our egoism was not effective any more. (Though our bondage was due to our egoism) O Lord! I am only Your slave (devotee), whereas You are the highest and purest authority without any particular leanings towards anyone, being omni-present. (2)

O True Master! You are without any form and the whole worldly drama has been enacted by You, being the greatest and all-powerful authority (functioning in the world), You are the only Lord-creator, and are pervading equally in all the beings. You are the only life-giving support of all the beings of the universe. (3)O Lord! You are the purest and highest authority, full of grandeur and purity. O Nanak! The Lord is limitless and beyond our reach or our comprehension, as He is the highest power in the universe. (who cannot be evaluated by us). (4 - 1 - 87)

2. Hukamnama in Hindi

राग बिलावल महला ५ चउपदे दुपदे घर ७
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥

सतिगुर शब्द उजारो दीपा ॥
सच्चे गुरु के शब्द ने दीपक की तरह प्रकाश किया।
बिनसिओ अंधकार तिह मंदर रतन कोठड़ी खुल्ही अनुपा ॥੧॥ रहाउ ॥
उसके मनरूपी मंदिर से अंधकार मिट गया और अनुपम रत्नों की कोठरी खुल गई। (ठहराव)

बिसमन बिसम भए जउ पेखिओ कहन न जाइ वडिआई ॥
दिव्य दृश्य देखकर विस्मय में पड़ गया; उसकी महिमा बयान नहीं की जा सकती।
मगन भए ऊहा संगि माते ओति पोति लपटाई ॥੧॥
उसके संग में मग्न हो गया, जैसे धागे में धागा ओत-प्रोत होता है।

आल जाल नही कछू जंजारा अहंबुध नही भोरा ॥
न तो मोह-जाल है, न कोई झंझट; और न ही अहंकार की मूर्खता है।
ऊचन ऊचा बीच न खीचा हउ तेरा तूं मोरा ॥੨॥
वह अत्यंत महान और अडिग है; न कोई बीच है और न कोई खींचातानी। "मैं तेरा और तू मेरा।"

एकंकार एक पासारा एकै अपर अपारा ॥
एक ही ईश्वर है, जिसने सारा सृष्टि रचा; वही अपर और अपार है।
एक बिसथीरन एक संपूर्ण एकै प्रान अधारा ॥੩॥
वह ही हर ओर विस्तारित है, वह ही पूर्ण है, और वही प्राणों का आधार है।

निर्मल निर्मल सूचा सूचो सूचा सूचो सूचा ॥
वह पूर्णतया निर्मल और पवित्र है।
अंत न अंता सदा बेअंता कहु नानक ऊचो ऊचा ॥੪॥੧॥੮੭॥
उसका कोई अंत नहीं है; वह सदा अनंत है। गुरु नानक कहते हैं, वह सबसे ऊंचा और महान है।

3. Translation in Punjabi

ਰਾਗ ਬਿਲਾਵਲ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਚਉਪਦੇ ਦੁਪਦੇ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀਵੇ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦਾ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਵੇਹਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕੁਟੀਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਝਾਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ ਮੈਂ ਵਰਣਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਯ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਸੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਤਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਚਿਮੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਸੰਸਾਰਕ ਪੁਆੜੇ ਦੇ ਫਾਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ-ਮਤ ਲੇਸ-ਮਾਤਰ ਭੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ। ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਤੂੰ ਉਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਉਚਾ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਕੋਈ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਖਿਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਟਆ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਕ ਅਦਭੈਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਫੈਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਪਰੀਪੂਰਨ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੀ ਜਿੰਦ-ਜਾਨ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ, ਪਾਵਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਂ ਪਾਵਲ, ਬੇਦਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਚਿਆਰਾ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਸਚਿਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਹੰਦ-ਬੰਨੇ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਓੜਕ ਨਹੀਂ। ਸਦੀਵੀ ਅਨੰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਲੰਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਬੁਲੰਦ ਹੈ ਉਹ।
