ਰਚੰਤਿ ਜੀਅ ਰਚਨਾ ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਅਸਥਾਪਨੰ

1. English Translation

Slok ( Rachant Jeea Rachna ) The Lord molds this (human) being in the mother's womb for some (period) time. O, Nanak! The heat of the mother's womb does not harm the. being in any way as he is busy reciting the True Name of the Lord.

In fact, in the mother's womb, this human being was lying upside down, with the head downwards and the legs facing upwards, and were kept in difficult and (unclean) filthy surroundings. O, Nanak! Why has this human being forgotten the Lord, the invaluable Master, who had protected him even in the most arduous and difficult surroundings (through His Grace)? ( 1)

Pouri: O, Man! First of all the Lord created you out of the mother's blood and the father's sperm (semen) and then protected you in the fire of (heat of) the mother's womb. The place was very dingy, dark, and horrible (mother's womb) and you were lying facing downwards, but you were saved from burning (due to heat) inside by reciting True Name.

So now you should remember (worship) the same Lord by inculcating His love in the heart, who had saved you there and should never forsake Him even for a moment. Man can never enjoy bliss and peace of mind by forgetting the Lord. Thus the human being faces death finally by wasting this life and losing the gamble of life without achieving anything. (2)

(Rachant Jeea Rachna) ਜੋ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਣਤਰ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਵਿਚ ਥਾਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ (ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਦੀ) ਵੱਡੀ (ਭਿਆਨਕ) ਅੱਗ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ।੧।

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਦੋਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੀ, ਪੈਰ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਨ, ਬੜੇ ਔਖੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸੈਂ ਤਦੋਂ ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਬਚਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ, ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ?।੨।

(ਹੇ ਜੀਵ!) (ਮਾਂ ਦੀ) ਰੱਤ ਤੇ (ਪਿਉ ਦੇ) ਵੀਰਜ ਤੋਂ (ਮਾਂ ਦੇ) ਪੇਟ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਉੱਗਿਆ। ਤੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੀ, ਗੰਦਾ ਤੇ ਡਰਾਉਣਾ ਸੈਂ, (ਮਾਨੋ) ਇਕ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਘੋਰ ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੈਂ। ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੈਂ ਸੜਦਾ-ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਹੁਣ ਭੀ) ਮਨੋਂ ਤਨੋਂ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ। ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਔਖੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਤਾ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਭੁਲਾ।

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾਇਆਂ ਕਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, (ਜੇ ਭੁਲਾਇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ) ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ (ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ) ਹਾਰ ਕੇ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।੨।

4. Hukamnama in Hindi

श्लोक ( Rachant Jeea Rachna )॥ रचयिता परमात्मा जीव की रचना करके उसे माता के गर्भ में स्थापित कर देता है। तदुपरांत वह माता के गर्भ में आकर श्वास-श्वास से उसका सिमरन करता है। हे नानक ! इस तरह भगवान का सिमरन करने से गर्भ की भयानक अग्नि जीव का विनाश नहीं कर पाती ॥ १॥

हे जीव ! माता के गर्भ में तेरा मुँह नीचे एवं पैर ऊपर की ओर थे। इस तरह तू अपवित्र स्थान पर निवास कर रहा था। नानक का कथन है कि हे जीव ! तूने अपने उस मालिक को क्यों विस्मृत कर दिया, जिसके नाम का सिमरन करने से तू गर्भ में से बाहर निकला है॥ २॥

पउड़ी ॥ जीव माँ के रक्त एवं पिता के वीर्य द्वारा पेट की अग्नि में पैदा हुआ था। हे जीव ! तेर मुँह नीचे था और तू मलिन एवं भयानक नरक समान घोर अन्धेरे में रहता था। भगवान का सिमरन करने से तू जल नहीं सका था।

अतः अब तू अपने मन, तन एवं ह्रदय में स्मरण करता रह। जिसने तेरी विषम स्थान से रक्षा की है, तू उसे एक क्षण भर के लिए भी मत भुला। चूंकि प्रभु को भुला कर तुझे कभी सुख प्राप्त नहीं होगा और तू अपना अमूल्य जन्म व्यर्थ ही गंवा कर चला जाएगा ॥ २॥
