English Translation

O, worldly people! ( Mukand Mukand Japo Sansar ) Let us always recite the True Name of the Lord Mukand, as, without the recitation of the True Name of the Lord, this body will perish soon. The Lord-benefactor is the bestower of Salvation to us and the Lord-Mukand is sustaining us like our father and mother. (1)

We always recite the Lord's True Name, while leading this life or even at the time of death. (or after death also), as such the devotees (slaves) of the Lord always enjoy eternal bliss. (Pause -1)

The recitation of the Lord's True Name (Mukand) is our very life (our life depends on True Name) but this recitation of True Name is possible only when one is fortunate enough, to be predestined by the Lord's Will. (when this is written on our foreheads). It is only the recluses (detached persons) who serve the Lord and the Lord is the treasure of all wealth and worldly comforts. (2)

What could this world do, (against us) when the Lord is our supporter. O, Lord! By discarding all considerations of (high or low) castes, we have attained the Lord's presence. You are the only one Lord, bestowing salvation to all beings during the various ages. (Yugas). (3)

We were enlightened (with light) within through the knowledge (bestowed by the Lord) when the Lord accepted us as His slaves (devotees) through His Grace. O Ravidas! Now we have curbed (overcome) our worldly desires and always serve the Lord by reciting His True Name. (4 - 1)

राग गोंड बाणी रविदास जीउ की घर २ ੴ सतिगुर प्रसाद ॥

हे संसार के लोगो! ईश्वर का जाप करो, उसका सिमरन किए बिना यह तन व्यर्थ ही चला जाता है। ईश्वर ही मुक्ति का दाता है और हमारा माता-पिता भी वही है॥ १॥

जिसका जीना-मरना सब भगवान पर है, उसके सेवक को सदा आनंद बना रहता है।१॥ रहाउ ॥ ईश्वर की उपासना ही हमारे प्राणों का आधार है। उसका जाप करने से मस्तक पर मुक्ति का चिन्ह पड़ जाता है। कोई वैरागी ही मुकुन्द की अर्चना करता है। मुझ जैसे दुर्बल को भी मुकुन्द नाम रूपी धन हासिल हो गया है॥ २ ॥

जब एक परमेश्वर स्वयं मुझ पर उपकार करता है तो यह संसार मेरा क्या बेिगाड़ सकता है। उसकी भक्ति ने मेरी नीच जाति को मिटाकर अपने द्वार का दरबारी नियुक्त कर दिया है। हे मुकुन्द ! एक तू ही युगों-युगांतरों से पार करवाने में समर्थ है॥ ३॥

मेरे मन में ज्ञान उत्पन्न होने से प्रकाश हो गया है। उसने कृपा करके मुझ जैसे तुच्छ जीव को अपना दास बना लिया है। रविदास जी कहते हैं कि अब मेरी तृष्णा बुझ गई है, मुकुन्द को जप कर उसकी सेवा में ही लीन रहता हूँ॥ ४॥ १॥

ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਅਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਿਊਂਦਾ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮਰਦਾ ਭੀ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ) ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਲੋਕੋ! ਮੁਕਤੀ-ਦਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰੋ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੀ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ (ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ) ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ; ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਵੈਰਾਗਵਾਨ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗ਼ਰੀਬ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਧਨ ਲੱਭ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।੨।

ਜੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਮਾਰ ਚਮਾਰ ਆਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਹ) ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਨੇ) ਮੇਰੀ (ਨੀਵੀਂ) ਜਾਤ (ਵਾਲੀ ਢਹਿੰਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੁਥਾਜੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।੩।

(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ! ਆਖ-ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਨਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।੪।੧।

ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ (ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। (ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ (ਦੱਸਿਆ) ਕੰਮ ਹੈ।੪।੧੫।੨੬।
