Rag Bilawal Mahala Panjva Ghar 13va Partal Ik Onkar Satgur Prasad (Mohan Neend Na Aave )

"By the Grace of the Lord-sublime, Truth personified & attainable through the Guru's guidance."

O Brother! I cannot get sleep in the separation of the True Master and I am always pining and spend the whole night (crying) longing for the Lord. I have made True Name as my necklace of the neck (as my true love), using the collyrium of meditation, wearing the robes of love, and have made the acquisition of virtues as my ornaments, but am always feeling sorrowful without getting a wink of sleep. Now I could gain peace and tranquillity of mind only if someone were to tell me when my Lord would be uniting me with Himself (visiting my innerself) by giving a glimpse of His vision. (Pause - 1)

O holy saints, possessing the knowledge and virtues of a beloved of the Lord-spouse ! I would place my head at Your lotus- feet and solicit You to enable me to unite with the beloved True Master. Tell me clearly when my beloved Lord would bless me with His glimpse. (1)

O friend! I would relate the story of my meeting with the beloved Lord. We could attain the beloved Lord only when we are able to cast away all our egoism from within, and then only we could sing the praises of the blissful Lord with love and devotion, and meditate on the Lord, an embodiment of bliss and joy. O Nanak! We could attain the beloved Master only through the company of holy saints. (2)

O Brother! Now I perceive the Lord alone everywhere, and enjoy my sleep as well. My fire (thirst) of worldly desires has been quenched and have merged with the Lord, the apostle of peace. O friend! I have got united with the beloved Lord, whose description and story is so sweet. (Pause - 2-1-128)

ਹੇ ਮੋਹਨ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਜੀਕਰ) ਹਾਰ, ਕੱਜਲ, ਕਪੜੇ, ਗਹਿਣੇ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਪਰ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ) ਹਾਹੁਕੇ ਵਿਚ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਨੀਂਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ, (ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ) ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਉਦਾਸ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਤੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਦੀ ਹੈ-) ਹੇ ਭੈਣ! ਮੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ) ਕਦੋਂ ਘਰ ਆਵੇਗਾ (ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਮੋਹਨ! ਤੈਥੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ) ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਮੋਹਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸੁਹਾਗਣ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਸਿਰ ਧਰ ਕੇ (ਪੁੱਛਦੀ ਹਾਂ-) ਹੇ ਭੈਣ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇ (ਦੱਸ, ਉਹ) ਕਦੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਵੇਗਾ।੧।

(ਸੁਹਾਗਣ ਆਖਦੀ ਹੈ-) ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਸੁਣ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਨ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਾਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ। ਤੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਸਾਰਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇ। ਤਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਏਂਗੀ। (ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਫਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰਿ-ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰੀਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੀਂ ਜੋ ਨਿਰਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ-ਰੂਪ ਹੈ।

ਹੇ ਭੈਣ! ਨਾਨਕ (ਭੀ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਦਰ ਤੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ) ਮੈਂ (ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ) ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲਾਲ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।੨।

ਹੇ ਭੈਣ! ਹੁਣ) ਮੋਹਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਲੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ) ਉਪਰਾਮਤਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਲੱਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮਿਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਲੱਗ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਭੈਣ! ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲਾਲ ਮੋਹਣ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ।੧।੧੨੮।

Hukamnama meaning in Hindi

राग बिलावल महला ५ घरु १३ पड़ताल (राग बिलावल, गुरु अर्जन देव जी की वाणी, १३वें घर की ताल में)

ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥ (एक ओंकार, सतगुरु की कृपा से)

मोहन नीद न आवै हावै हार कजर बसत्र अभरन कीने ॥ हे मोहन (प्रिय), मुझे नींद नहीं आती है, चाहे मैंने कितने भी आभूषण और सुंदर वस्त्र धारण किए हों।

उडीनी उडीनी उडीनी ॥ कब घर आवै री ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ मेरा मन बेचैन है, मन बार-बार उड़ रहा है। कब वह मेरे घर आएगा? (रहाउ - यहाँ ध्यान करने को कहा गया है)

सरन सुहागन चरन सीस धर ॥ लालन मोहि मिलावहु ॥ कब घर आवै री ॥१॥ मैं सुहागन (भाग्यशाली) होकर प्रभु के चरणों में अपना सिर रखती हूँ। हे प्यारे प्रभु, मुझे अपने से मिलाओ। कब वह घर आएगा?

सुनहु सहेरी मिलन बात कहउ ॥ सगरो अहं मिटावहु तउ घर ही लालन पावहु ॥ हे सखियो, सुनो! मैं तुमसे मिलन का मार्ग बता रही हूँ। जब मैं अपना अहंकार मिटाऊँगी, तभी अपने घर में लालन (प्रभु) को पा सकूँगी।

तब रस मंगल गुन गावहु ॥ आनद रूप धिआवहु ॥ नानक दुआरै आइओ ॥ तउ मै लालन पाइओ री ॥२॥ तब मैं आनंद और खुशी के गीत गाऊँगी और आनंदमय रूप का ध्यान` करूँगी। गुरु नानक कहते हैं, जब मैं उनके द्वार पर पहुँची, तब मैंने अपने प्यारे लालन को पा लिया।

मोहन रूप दिखावै ॥ अब मोहि नीद सुहावै ॥ सभ मेरी तिखा बुझानी ॥ अब मै सहज समानी ॥ अब प्रभु ने अपना रूप दिखाया है, और मुझे अब सुखद नींद आने लगी है। मेरी सारी प्यास बुझ गई है, और अब मैं सहज में समा गई हूँ (शांति प्राप्त कर ली है)।

मीठी पिरहि कहानी ॥ मोहन लालन पाइओ री ॥ रहाउ दूजा ॥१॥१२८॥ यह पिर (प्रेमी) की मीठी कहानी है। मैंने अपने प्यारे मोहन को पा लिया है। (रहाउ दूजा - दूसरी बार ध्यान करने के लिए)
