Sukhmani Sahib is the most extraordinary composition of Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji. It is documented in Sri Guru Granth Sahib page 262 to 296.
When Guru Sahib Ji heard the cry of a miserable person, he composed this Bani to remove his physical and mental sorrow. Even reciting it cured the deadly stomach ache of Alaim ud Din, the ruler of Lahore. After that, he started reciting it daily.
Sukhmani Sahib has structural unity and has 24 verses and eight verses and ten verses of each poem. So let us break down the hollow walls of our religion and start reciting a tremendous and true Bani that every person of every faith can do to achieve the above objectives.
Reading Sukhmani Sahib Ji opens the closed doors of one’s heart. Spiritual discipline is created in you, and you are connected with strength, patience, courage and infinite consciousness. Reciting Sukhmani Sahib Ji once a day gives you inner balance, kindness, light, energy and courage to make sacrifices.
