English Translation
Bilawal Mahala - 5th ( Simar Simar Prabh Apna Natha Dukh Thao )
O Brother! By reciting the True Name of the Lord, we have got rid of our ignorance, the abode of all sufferings. Now we will not be taken through the cycle of births and deaths as we have attained Truth (True Lord) in the company of the holy saints. (1)
I am a sacrifice to the lotus-feet of my Guru, and then I sing the praises of the Lord by perceiving a glimpse of the perfect Guru, as such I have enjoyed peace and bliss of life alongwith worldly comforts and longing (urge) for a unison of the Lord. (Pause - 1)
Now my only pre-occupation is to give discourses of the Lord's Greatness, singing the praises of the Lord with the Guru's Word (kirtan), with the help of musical instruments and this is like a boon for me. O Nanak! Now the Lord's acceptance and pleasure has been won by us, as such we have got all our (hearts) desires fulfilled. (2-6 -70)

ਬਿਲਾਵਲ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੀੜ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥ ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਓਥੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਫਿਰ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਟਕਾਂਗਾ ॥ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ ॥ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ, ਆਰਾਮ, ਚੈਨ ਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਠਹਿਰਾਉ ॥
ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਗੋਸ਼ਟ ਤੇ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੁਰੀਲੇ ਤਰਾਨੇ ਦੀ ਗੂੰਜ ਸੁਣਨੀ, ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਪਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ-ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਮੇਵੇ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ ॥

बार-बार अपने प्रभु का स्मरण करने से सभी दुखों का अंत हो जाता है। साध-संगत में मिलकर परम शांति प्राप्त होती है, और फिर सांसारिक भटकन में वापस नहीं जाते। मैं अपने गुरु पर बलिहारी (बलिदान) जाता हूं, उनके चरणों में अपना सब कुछ न्योछावर करता हूं। उनके गुणों का दर्शन करते हुए आनंद, सुख और मंगलमयी वातावरण बनता है। प्रभु की कथा और कीर्तन, राग, और ध्वनि के माध्यम से सृष्टि का उद्देश्य पूर्ण होता है। हे नानक, जब प्रभु प्रसन्न होते हैं, तो सभी इच्छित फल मिल जाते हैं।
