ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮੈ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਤ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਹਜ ਸੇਤੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਜੀਆ ਵਾਧਾਈਆ ॥ ਰਾਗ ਰਤਨ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਪਰੀਆ ਸਬਦ ਗਾਵਣ ਆਈਆ ॥ ਸਬਦੋ ਤ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਹਰੀ ਕੇਰਾ ਮਨਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮੈ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ 917 'ਤੇ ਅੰਕਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ 'ਅਨੰਦੁ' (ਅਨੰਦੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ) ਦੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਪੰਜ ਪਉੜੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਰਥ ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੈ। ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਨੋਟ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਉੜੀ 1 ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੰਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਉੜੀ 4 ਦਾ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹੈ; ਬਾਕੀ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਮ ਸਮਝ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਦੇ ਸਟੀਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ।

ਪਉੜੀ 1: ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਸਹਿਜੇ ਹੀ (ਸੁਭਾਵਿਕ) ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ। ਰਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਰਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਰੂਪੀ ਰਾਗਣੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਜਸ ਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਜਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ) ਨੂੰ ਗਾਵੋ। ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਪਉੜੀ 2: ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿ। ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਵਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਰ ਕਾਰਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਭੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹਰੀ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹੁ।

ਪਉੜੀ 3: ਹੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ (ਖਜ਼ਾਨੇ) ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ? ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੇਂ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਜੀਵ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਮ ਵੱਸ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ (ਆਤਮਿਕ ਅਨੰਦ ਦੇ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਹੈ)।

ਪਉੜੀ 4: ਸੱਚਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਭੁੱਖ (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ) ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਿਕ ਸੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਬਖਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਖਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ‘ਅਨਹਦੁ’ (ਹੱਦ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਸੱਚੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਥਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਜੋ ਮਨ ਵਾਸਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਚੌਰਾਸੀ ਲੱਖ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਰੁਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਸਲ ਸਰੂਪ ਰੂਪੀ ਨਿਜ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਵੱਸ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਪਉੜੀ 5: ਉਸ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਰੂਪੀ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਆਤਮਿਕ ਨਾਦ) ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ (ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਲੋਭ, ਮੋਹ, ਹੰਕਾਰ) ਨੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ 'ਤੇ ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨਹਦ ਨਾਦ ਵੱਜਦਾ ਹੈ।

English Translation

Ramkali Mahala 3 Anand Ik Onkar Satgur Prasad ( Anand Bhaya Meri Mai Satguru Mein Paya...)
"By the Grace of the Lord-Sublime, Truth personified & attainable through the Guru's guidance."

O my mother! O Saints! Since the time I have met the True Lord and perfect Guru, my heart is thrilled and I am enjoying real bliss of life. The meeting with the Guru has taken place in the normal course of events, without any special efforts and I have realised the True Guru in the fourth stage of equipoise, and my heart is beyond myself with joy. During this occasion of joy all the Ragas and Ragnis have come alongwith many beautiful fairies to sing songs of joy and happiness. O Lord! All these people have gathered together to sing praises of Your grandeur and vastness, including other good qualities like detachment, Truth, contentment and thinking basically they have come for singing praises of the Lord.

O Brother! You should also join those Guru-minded persons, in singing the Guru's Word, who have inculcated the love of the Lord in their hearts. O Nanak ! I have been enjoying bliss and joy of life since the time I have been given the company of the True Guru. (1)

O my mind! Why do you not keep company with the Lord, as all your ills and sufferings will give way in His company? O Man! The Lord would help complete all your jobs and would accept you in His presence, provided you remember Him always; infact He would support you in all respects. O my mind! Why have you forgotten the Lord who is omni- potent and all powerful? He would help you complete all your worldly chores and support you in all your efforts. O Nanak! You should always keep company with the Lord. O my mind! Try to keep the True Master always in your mind, as He is your greatest friend. (2)

O my True Master! Is there anything which could not be attained through You, at Your Court? Infact, everything is available at Your Court, but is to be achieved only by those persons, who are blessed by You and they only attain Your benedictions. Such Guru-minded persons always sing Your praises and meditate on True Name in their hearts. The persons who have inculcated Your True Name in their hearts always hear the Unstrung music of Nature and enjoy the bliss of Your True Name through such hymns being sung by Nature. O Nanak! What is naught in the Lord's Presence or is there anything lacking in the Lord's Court?
Infact, everything is available at the Lord's Court, once someone is accepted there. (3)

My only support and mainstay in life is the Lord's True Name and this support of True Name is so helpful that my desire for worldly possessions is completely satisfied and my thirst for worldly pleasures is quenched. Once I was able to inculcate the Lord's love in my heart, I attained peace and tranquillity of mind, which has helped me to satisfy all my worldly desires. So I always offer myself as a sacrifice to the Guru, who has bestowed all these honours and privileges on me. O Nanak! I would request my saintly friends to listen to the Guru's Word carefully and preserve it for future. Infact, my only support and help is the Lord's True Name. (4)

These great hymns and songs celestial are sung and heard in the abode of some fortunate and God-blessed persons. The abode, where the Lord's power is enshrined, resounds with the Unstrung music of Nature which is heard in their body and their company even. Infact, such Guru-mined persons have curbed and controlled all the five vices like sexual desires, anger and greed. They have also overpowered the Yama, the god of death, who was responsible for the fear-complex. Now there is no fear of death. The persons, who have been blessed by the Lord, with His Grace to perform noble deeds, are always engaged in the recitation of Lord's True Name. O Nanak! The persons with such noble actions, have their hearts filled with joy and they always hear within their hearts, the unstrung music of Nature, and hear the Lord's praises being sung all around in Nature. अनंदु भइआ मेरी माए सतिगुरू मै पाइआ ॥
सतिगुरु त पाइआ सहज सेती मनि वजीआ वधाईआ ॥
राग रतन परिवार परीआ सबद गावण आईआ ॥
सबदो त गावहु हरी केरा मनि जिनी वसाइआ ॥
कहै नानकु अनंदु होआ सतिगुरू मै पाइआ ॥१॥

ए मन मेरिआ तू सदा रहु हरि नाले ॥
हरि नालि रहु तू मंन मेरे दूख सभि विसारणा ॥
अंगीकारु ओहु करे तेरा कारज सभि सवारणा ॥
सभना गला समर्थु सुआमी सो किउ मनहु विसारे ॥
कहै नानकु मंन मेरे सदा रहु हरि नाले ॥२॥

साचे साहिबा किआ नाही घरि तेरै ॥
घरि त तेरै सभु किछु है जिसु देहि सु पावए ॥

आनंद साहिब – पहली 5 पौड़ियों का हिन्दी अर्थ

पहली पौड़ी

हे मेरी माँ! ( Anand Bhaya Meri Maye ) मेरे भीतर आनंद उत्पन्न हो गया है, क्योंकि मुझे सतगुरु प्राप्त हो गए हैं।
सतगुरु सहज भाव से मिले हैं और मेरे मन में बधाइयों की ध्वनि गूँज उठी है।
ऐसा प्रतीत होता है मानो राग, रत्न और उनके परिवार सभी ईश्वर की महिमा गाने के लिए आ पहुँचे हों।
तुम भी उसी परमात्मा के शबद का गायन करो, जिसे प्रेमियों ने अपने मन में बसाया है।
गुरु नानक देव जी कहते हैं — मुझे सतगुरु मिल गए हैं, इसलिए मेरे भीतर आनंद छा गया है।

दूसरी पौड़ी

हे मेरे मन! तू सदा परमात्मा के साथ जुड़ा रह।
यदि तू परमात्मा के साथ रहेगा, तो तेरे सारे दुख दूर हो जाएँगे।
वह प्रभु तेरा सहारा बनेगा और तेरे सभी कार्य सँवार देगा।
वह स्वामी सब कुछ करने में समर्थ है, फिर मन से उसे क्यों भुलाना?
गुरु नानक देव जी कहते हैं — हे मेरे मन! सदा प्रभु के साथ जुड़ा रह।

तीसरी पौड़ी

हे सच्चे मालिक! तेरे घर में ऐसी कौन-सी वस्तु है जो नहीं है?
तेरे घर में सब कुछ मौजूद है; जिसे तू देता है, वही प्राप्त करता है।
जो व्यक्ति तेरी सदा स्तुति करता है और तेरे नाम को अपने मन में बसाता है,
उसके भीतर अनगिनत दिव्य शबद गूँजने लगते हैं।
गुरु नानक देव जी कहते हैं — हे सच्चे प्रभु! तेरे घर में किसी चीज़ की कमी नहीं।

चौथी पौड़ी

सच्चा नाम ही मेरा आधार है।
उस परमात्मा का सच्चा नाम मेरा सहारा बन गया है, जिसने मेरी सारी भूख और इच्छाएँ मिटा दी हैं।
उसने मेरे मन में शांति और सुख भर दिया है तथा मेरी सभी इच्छाएँ पूर्ण कर दी हैं।
मैं उस गुरु पर सदा बलिहार जाता हूँ, जिसने मुझे इतनी महान महिमा प्रदान की है।
गुरु नानक देव जी कहते हैं — हे संतजनो! गुरु के शबद से प्रेम करो।
सच्चा नाम ही मेरा आधार है।

पाँचवीं पौड़ी

भाग्यशाली हृदय-घर में पाँच प्रकार के दिव्य शबद बजते हैं।
जिस हृदय में प्रभु अपनी शक्ति स्थापित करता है, वहाँ अनहद शबद गूँजते हैं।
उसने पाँच विकारों को अपने वश में कर लिया है और मृत्यु के भय को नष्ट कर दिया है।
जिन्हें प्रारब्ध से यह कृपा प्राप्त होती है, वे प्रभु के नाम में जुड़ जाते हैं।
गुरु नानक देव जी कहते हैं — उस हृदय में सच्चा सुख उत्पन्न होता है और वहाँ अनहद नाद निरंतर बजता रहता है।
