ਸੂਹੈ ਵੇਸਿ ਦੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਪਰ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵਣ ਜਾਇ ॥

1. Suhai Ves Dohagni - English Translation

Ik Onkar Satgur Prasadvarr Suhi Ki Slokan Naal Mahala - 3rd Slok Mahala 3rd ( Suhai Vais Dohagni Par Pir Ra'van Jaye.......)"By The Grace Of The Lord-Sublime, Truth Personified & Attainable Through The Guru's Guidance."

The separated wife, who is discredited and discarded by her own spouse, goes out dressed up nicely to enjoy the company of other men, is being robbed of her youth due to her dual-mindedness, having left her spouse at home, and is always immersed in the love of others. (Similarly the self-willed person imbued with the love of worldly falsehood (Maya), wastes his life due to dual- mindedness). Such a discredited woman enjoys the vicious and sinful life, considering it as a source of joy, which has resulted in lot of sufferings to her. Thus the self-willed person, like the separated woman, has forsaken the Lord-spouse, which has resulted in his separation from the Lord, and goes through the cycle of births and deaths.

But on being converted into a Guru-minded person, he has changed his approach and embellished himself with the Lord's worship (and True Name) he is engaged in the love of the Lord's True Name. Thus the True Master has enabled such a person to merge with the Lord by reciting True Name in the state of equipoise and enjoy the conjugal bliss of the Lord. The Lord has united such a Guru-minded person with Himself when he follows the Lord's Will with pleasure, like the wedded woman winning the love of her spouse. Thus such a person enjoys the conjugal bliss of the Lord-spouse like the (suhagan) wedded woman. (1)

Mahala Teeja: O self-willed person, enamoured by the worldly falsehood (Maya) and love of worldly pleasures! You should also take care to develop the love of the Lord like the Guru-minded persons who are imbued with the love of the Lord. O Nanak ! One could make one's life fruitful with the Lord's worship, thus helping the whole clan (family members) to escape from the worldly bondage. (2)

Pouri: The Lord has created this universe including the sky and nether lands; and the whole world (His kingdom), alongwith this Earth is created by Him, through His Will, as the holy place of worship of the Lord. O Lord-benefactor of the helpless! You have created this universe and managed to destroy it as well, as it pleases You, and You alone arrange to sustain all the beings. Your Will is really wonderful, being quite distinct from others. O True Master! You are pervading all the beings in equal measure and then arrange to maintain and sustain them all. (1)

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ ॥ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਸੂਹੀ ਕੀ ਵਾਰ ॥ ਸਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥

ਸਲੋਕ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥ ਰੱਤੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੰਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਫਰੇਫਤਾ ਹੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ, ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਘਣੇਰਾ ਭੋਗ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥

ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ-ਅਨੁਸਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਿਛੇ ਮੁੜ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਹਾਰਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਹ ਤਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਹ ਫਰਮਾਂਬਰਦਾਰ ਤੇ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਨੇਕ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਖੁਸ਼ਬਾਸ਼ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ ॥

ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥ ਹੇ ਤੂੰ ਰਤੇ ਲਿਬਾਸ ਵਾਲੀਏ ਮਸਕੀਨ ਪਤਨੀਏ! ਉਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖ ॥ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਵੰਸ਼ ਭੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਬੰਦਖਲਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ॥

ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਇਆਲ ਬਣਾਏ ਹਨ ॥ ਆਪਣੇ ਫਰਮਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਮੀ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਈਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਮਸਕੀਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ, ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਜਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਤੂੰ ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ ਪੁਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਦਭੁਤ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ॥ ਤੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਇਕਸ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਰਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥

ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
वार सूही की शलोकां नालि महला ३ ॥

श्लोक महला ३ ॥
सूहे वेसि दोहागणी पर पिरु रावण जाई ॥
पिरु छोड़िआ घरि आपणै मोही दूजै भाई ॥
मिठा करि कै खाइआ बहु सादहु वधिआ रोगु ॥
सुधु भतारु हरि छोड़िआ फिरि लगा जाई विजोगु ॥
गुरमुखि होवै सु पलटिआ हरि राती साजि सीगारि ॥
सहजि सचु पिरु राविआ हरि नामा उर धारि ॥
आगिआकारी सदा सुहागणि आपि मेली करतारि ॥
नानक पिरु पाइआ हरि साचा सदा सुहागणि नारि ॥੧॥

सलोक महला ੩: लाल वस्त्र पहनकर (सुंदर दिखने वाली) वह स्त्री जो अपने पति को छोड़कर परपुरुष के पास जाती है, उसने अपने घर के असली पति को छोड़ दिया और दूसरे मोह में फँस गई। स्वादिष्ट समझकर उसने (इंद्रियों के) मीठे पदार्थ खाए और इस कारण रोग बढ़ गया। उसने पवित्र पति परमात्मा को छोड़ दिया और फिर अलगाव का दुख भोगा। जो गुरमुख (गुरु का अनुसरण करने वाला) बन जाता है, वह पलट कर हरि रंग में रंग जाता है, स्वयं को सजाता है। वह सहज भाव से अपने सच्चे पति-परमात्मा से मिलन करता है और हृदय में हरि नाम धारण करता है। जो प्रभु की आज्ञा का पालन करती है वह सदा सुहागिन रहती है, और स्वयं करतार (ईश्वर) उसे मिलाता है। नानक कहते हैं: जिसने सच्चा हरि-प्रभु पाया, वह सदा के लिए सुहागिन है।

महला ੩ ॥
सूहवीए निमाṇीए सो सहु सदा सम्हालि ॥
नानक जनमु सवारहि आपणा कुलु भी छुटी नालि ॥੨॥

सलोक महला ੩: हे लाल वस्त्र पहनने वाली, हे विनम्र स्त्री, उस सच्चे स्वामी को सदा याद रखो। नानक कहते हैं: वह अपने जन्म को संवार लेती है और साथ में कुल को भी मुक्त कर देती है।

आपे तख़तु रचाइओनु आकास पताला ॥
हुकमे धरती साजीअनु सची धरम साला ॥
आपि उपाइ खपाइदा सचे दीन दयाला ॥
सभना रिज़कु संबाहिदा तेरा हुकमु निराला ॥
आपे आपि वरतदा आपे प्रतिपाला ॥੧॥

पौड़ी: ईश्वर ने स्वयं ही सिंहासन रचा, आकाश और पाताल की रचना की। उसके हुक्म से यह धरती बनी, यह सच्ची धर्मशाला है। वह स्वयं ही पैदा करता है, नष्ट करता है — वह सच्चा, दीनों पर दया करने वाला है। वह सब का पालन करता है, सबको रोज़ी देता है, उसका हुक्म अद्भुत है। वह स्वयं ही सबमें व्याप्त है, और स्वयं ही सबका रक्षक है।
