Guru Harkrishan Sahib Gurgaddi Gurpurab 2025 falls on 15 October, Wednesday. On this pious day, Guru Har Rai Ji left the physical world and passed his Spiritual light and Royal throne to Guru Harkrishan Ji. He was only 5 years old when his father Guru Har Rai Ji ascended from the Physical world.

Guru Harkrishan was the eighth Guru of the Sikhs. He is also known as the Bal Guru (Child Guru). He was the youngest of all Gurus having attained that status at the tender age of five. His span of guruship was also the shortest. Guru Harkrishan is indeed an example that spirituality as an experience is independent of age. His personality can be summarized in the words of Guru Gobind Singh who later wrote that he is one "whose sight dispels all discomforts" ( Jis Dithe Sab Dukh Jaye ).
Every Gursikh when praying at the feet of Akal Purakh utters these words and pays homage to Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji with great love, devotion, and reverence. These words of Ardas inspire us to remember the ideal life of Guru Har Krishan Ji because all the sorrows of the entire humanity are alleviated by seeing him. Through these thoughts, the recognition, greatness, and glory of the 'Bala Pritam Guru' are revealed.
