Translation
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ईश्वर एक है, जिसे सतगुरु की कृपा से पाया जा सकता है।
ਰਾਗੁ ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ੧ ਘਰੁ ੧ ॥
रागु श्रीरागु महला पहिला १ घरु १ ॥
ਮੋਤੀ ਤ ਮੰਦਰ ਊਸਰਹਿ ਰਤਨੀ ਤ ਹੋਹਿ ਜੜਾਉ ॥
यदि मेरे लिए मोती व रत्न जड़ित भवन निर्मित हो जाएँ।
ਕਸਤੂਰਿ ਕੁੰਗੂ ਅਗਰਿ ਚੰਦਨਿ ਲੀਪਿ ਆਵੈ ਚਾਉ ॥
उन भवनों पर कस्तूरी, केसर, सुगंधित काष्ठ व चंदन की लकड़ी आदि के लेपन करके मन में उत्साह पैदा हो जाए।
ਮਤੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਭੂਲਾ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਨਾਉ ॥੧॥
कहीं ऐसा न हो कि इन्हें देखकर मैं भूल जाऊँ और निरंकार का नाम अपने हृदय से विस्मृत कर दूँ। (इसलिए मैं ऐसे भ्रमित करने वाले पदार्थों की ओर देखता भी नहीं हूँ)॥ १॥
