Baba Sri Chand Ji was born in the house of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji - to mother Sulakhni Ji. He founded Udasin Panth - the ascetic tradition of Sikhism. He was raised according to Vedic rituals so lived a life with values that were against the Sikhism of Guru Nanak. However, in later years, he became a devotee of Sri Guru Nanak and wrote hymns in praise of his father. Many Sikhs revere him and some oppose him, but we should never forget he was the Son of Guru Nanak, and whatever he practiced, Sikh Gurus always remained in touch with him. He adopted the son of Guru Hargobind Sahib - Baba Gurditta and passed his Gurgaddi to him, even if he was not an ascetic.
