100 Sakhi in Punjabi PDF

100 Sakhi is such a bizarre Granth that kept the warrior Nihang Singhs enthusiastic and awake, kept the Namdhari Sikhs intoxicated, and kept the British in check. This is a unique and wonderful book in which the events written in it are far more interesting than the interesting future sentences.

It is a well-established tradition in Sikh history that when Guru Gobind Singh passed away at Nanded in the south, far from Punjab, the Sikhs were deeply saddened. For the reassurance of the sad Sikh Sangat, Bhai Ram Kuir Ji used to recite the anecdotes of Gurughar in his village Ramdas, District Amritsar, and his servant Bhai Sahib Singh Likhari used to write them at the same time. Gradually, after many years of service, this collection of anecdotes, “Panj Sau Sakhi”, was compiled which later disappeared due to non-preservation. The present Granth Sau Sakhi – 100 Sakhi – is considered to be a part of this 500 Sakhi Granth.

100 ਸਾਖੀ ਇੱਕ ਐਸੀ ਵਚਿੱਤਰ ਪੋਥੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਲੜਾਕੇ ਨਿਹੰਗ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਜਗਾਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਨਾਮਧਾਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਖਤ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਅਨੋਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਜਿਤਨੀਆਂ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਹਨ, ਉਸਤੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਰੋਚਕ ਭਵਿਸ਼ਤ ਵਾਕ ਹਨ।

ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣਿਤ ਰਵਾਇਤ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ, ਦੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਂਦੇੜ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਂ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਹਿਰੀ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਛਾ ਗਈ। ਉਦਾਸ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਰਵਾਸ ਲਈ, ਭਾਈ ਰਾਮ ਕੁਇਰ ਜੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ, ਜਿਲਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰੂਘਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਖੀਆਂ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਭਾਈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਨਾਲੋ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਵੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਹੌਲੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸਾਖੀ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ “ਪੰਜ ਸੌ ਸਾਖੀ” ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸੌ ਸਾਖੀ ਇਸੇ 500 ਸਾਖੀ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
