1. Hukamnama Translation

O, Lord! Whatever is happening in the world is as per Your dictates and Will since there is no other second power (in control of the worldly drama). This human being is also functioning with the strength bestowed by the Lord and depends on His support alone. O, True Lord! I always worship You alone, by reciting Your True Name. (1)

O, Lord-benefactor! You are the Greatest of all powers and Your benevolence alone is guiding us in all our activities. This whole universe, including this world and the next (world), is functioning with Your support and under Your control. (Pause) O Lord! Your enlightenment and Nature are the fountainhead (foundation) of all activities at all times whether past, present, or future, but You are beyond our comprehension. (beyond our body and mind).

You are limitless, the Greatest (power), and beyond our reach. O, Lord I The persons, who serve and worship you by reciting True Name, have got rid of the fear of death (Yama) or the pangs of the cycle of births and deaths. O, Nanak! I always sing the praises of the True Master, through the Guru's Grace. (2)

ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਰੂਪੁ

O, Lord! Whatever we perceive; is only an embodiment of (Your Great Vision) the Prime-soul. You are the treasure of virtues, most charming, and the light of Govind, the True Master. O, Nanak! The Guru-minded person, who is blessed with a little bit of Your benevolence and Grace, is most fortunate, being predestined (by the Lord's Will) and is imbued with the love of Your True Name (day and night) all the time and appears to be an embodiment of True Name. (3)

O, True Master! I offer myself as a sacrifice to such (Guruminded) persons, who recite Your True Name, as the whole world could attain salvation, (through their guidance) in their company. O, Nanak I May the Lord accept my prayers and fulfill my desire of bestowing on me the dust of the lotus-feet of His beloved holy saints I (4- 2)

तिलंग घरु २ महला ५ ॥ जगत् में तेरे बिना Tudh Bin Duja Nahi Koye दूसरा कोई नहीं है। हे करतार ! जो तू करता है, वही होता है। मुझ में तेरा ही जोर है और तेरी ही मन में टेक है। हे नानक ! सदा-सर्वदा केवल परमात्मा का ही जाप करते रहो॥ १॥

हे परब्रह्म ! तू महान् है, सबको देने वाला है और मुझे तेरी ही टेक है और तेरा ही आसरा है। रहाउ ॥ तू वर्तमान काल में भी है और भविष्य काल में भी तू ही होने वाला है। तू अगम्य, असीम, सर्वोच्च एवं अपार है। जो व्यक्ति तुझे स्मरण करते रहते हैं, उन्हें कोई भय एवं दुख नहीं लगता। हे प्रभु ! गुरु की कृपा से नानक तेरे ही गुण गाता है॥ २॥

जो कुछ भी दिखाई देता है, वह तेरा ही रूप है। हे गोविंद ! तू गुणों का भण्डार है एवं बड़ा अनूप है। भक्तजन तुझे स्मरण कर-करके तुझ जैसे ही हो जाते हैं। हे नानक ! परमात्मा भाग्य से ही प्राप्त होता है॥ ३॥ जिसने परमात्मा का नाम जपा है, मैं उस पर बलिहारी जाता हूँ। उसकी संगति करके संसार भी भवसागर से तर जाता है। नानक का कथन है कि हे प्रभु ! मेरी अभिलाषा पूरी करो; मैं तेरे संतजनों की चरण-धूलि ही चाहता हूँ॥ ४॥ २॥

There is none other than You. You are the Creator, What You ordain must accrue.
You are my strength, You are the anchor. Ever and ever Nanak contemplates the Master. (1)

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ।ਰਹਾਉ।ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। (ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਤਾਣ ਹੈ, (ਸਾਡੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹੁ।੧।

You are the Supreme Bestower. You are the prop, you are the shelter. Refrain
You, You alone are going to prevail; Inaccessible, Unknowable, Above Wonder.
Those who serve You they fear not, nor do they suffer, Blessed by the Guru, says Nanak, laudation they offer. (2)

ਹੇ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਥਾਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।੨।

ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਰੂਪੁ

Whatever is visible is Your image. Treasure of virtue, Master beyond compare.
They meditate on You ever and ever; Says Nanak, it is a blessing which accrues with Your favour. (3)

ਹੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ! ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।

I hail those who contemplate, With them does the world liberate.
Fulfil my desire does Nanak entreat, I seek the dust of the holy feet (4) 2

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ।੪।੨।
