ਸਲੋਕ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥ (Sache Tere Khand Sache Brahmand.....) ਸਤਿ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਹਾਂਦੀਪ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਮੰਡਲ ॥ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ॥ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਿਆਨ ॥ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਬਾਰ ॥ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜਾ ਤੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ॥ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ॥ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਾ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਤਾਰੀਫ ॥ ਹੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ! ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਅਪਾਰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ, ਸੱਚੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ, ਜੋ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਕੂੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮ ਕੂੜੇ ਹਨ ॥

ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ॥ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਨਸਾਫ ॥ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਹਿਲ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਸਣ ॥ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਹਬਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਜਾਂ ਆਖਣ ਦੇ ਬਖਸ਼ੀਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਛ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਹੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਰਨਣ ਕੀਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ॥ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਸਭ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਹੈ ॥

ਦੂਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥ ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਕਮਰਾ (ਟਿਕਾਣਾ) ਹੈ ॥ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਕਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਮਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਕਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਮਾਇਆ, ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਧੂ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਇਹ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਆਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇਵਲ ਓਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਮਰਪਨ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥

ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਵੇਂ (ਲੇਖਾ) ਲਿਖਣ ਲਈ ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਥਾਪਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਓਥੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੱਚ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਝੂਠਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਓਥੇ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ, ਉਹ ਸਿਆਹ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਰਕ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਜੋ ਤੈਡੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਜਿੱਤ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਸਾਈਂ! ਜੋ ਠੱਗ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸ਼ਿਕਸ਼ਤ ਖਾ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਲੇਖੇ ਪੱਤੇ ਲਿਖਣ ਲਈ ਬਿਠਾਇਆ ਹੈ ॥

English Translation

Slok Mahala Pehla (Sache Tere Khand Sache Brahmand.....)

O Lord! Your Creation of this whole Universe is really wonderful and true, along with various Continents and countries. True and real are all the human forms and bodies created by You, along with various thoughts and functions being performed by them! This whole vast expanse of Your Creation is really wonderful and True as it is Your Will which directs all this Creation and even Your Court (Kingdom of Heaven) is True and real. Your Will and Your dictates are true, along with the functions allocated to each one of them and the system of Your functioning is equally true along with all Your manifestation and Your enlightenment. O True Lord! Millions of people have explained and described You as Almighty, Limitless, and Truthful. This whole drama of Creation is really True, eternal, and everlasting based on Your might and limitless power; and all Your praises, being sung throughout the Universe, are eternal truth. O True Master! Your whole Nature, behind this Creation, is really true and real. O Nanak! The Guru-minded persons, who remember and meditate on the Lord are also true and immortal, however, the self-willed persons, devoid of this realization of Truth are taken through the cycle of rebirths. (In fact, True is Your Creation, Nature, and the holy Saints engaged in Your worship). (1)

Mahala Pehla: 0 Lord! Your Greatness and Your Praises are really True and wonderful, just as Your True Name which is the Greatest. Your Greatness lies in the fact that Your justice and the mode of dispensing it are all really wonderful and True. Your Abode and Kingdom (of Heaven) are also True and eternal, as such Your Greatness and Your Praises are really true and beyond our comprehension. You are Great as You are really capable of understanding and deciphering all the spoken words of various human beings and their language. Truly Great is Your Greatness as You appreciate the love and aspirations of Your devotees! Further, Your Greatness lies in the fact that You shower Your Grace and blessings on all of us, without the least interference from anyone else or without anyone else's permission. O Lord! Great and True is Your Manifestation, as You alone know Your vast Creation and Nature and there is none else equal in stature to You. O Nanak! The Lord's Creation of Nature along with the system of management of Your vast resources is beyond our comprehension as it is all being organized and managed as per His will and His dictates. (2)

Mahala Dooja: Whatever we perceive around us in the form of the Lord's Creation and Nature is the True Abode of the Lord Himself where the Lord pervades. Some Guru-minded persons are united by the Lord through His Grace (with Himself) as per His Will; while the faithless persons are thrown out and destroyed as per His Will. Some persons, while engrossed in vices and sinful actions; are saved from this position, through the Lord's Grace as per His Will; while the self-willed persons waste their lives engulfed by worldly falsehood and worldly possessions. No one could say for certain whom the Lord through His Grace, directs on the right path and accepts their services in the Lord's presence. (While some others are put on the wrong path). O Nanak! The Guru-minded persons, whom the Lord blesses with enlightenment and the realization of the Lord's secrets, are finally accepted in the Lord's Court. (3)

Pouri O Nanak! Having created the world, the Lord has placed Dharam Raj (the god of justice) on top of them to keep an account of the doings and actions of various individuals. It is the Guru-minded persons alone, who are embodiments of Truth and are true Saints who are accepted in the Lord's Court while the self-willed, false, and untruthful persons are discarded and thrown out. The faithless, vicious, and sinful persons, have no place in the Lord's presence, rather they are thrown into the depths of hell being discarded and discredited, and with their faces blackened (being dishonored). O Lord! The Guru-minded persons who are imbued with Your love, are united with You, having won the battle of life and attained Salvation in life. However, the faithless, self-willed persons leave this world in disgust, having lived a life of falsehood and blasphemy. In fact, the Lord had placed control of various individuals' lives in the hands of the god of justice (Dhram Raja) including their names and accounts (of misdeeds) for imparting justice to them based on their actions. (For following the path of love and True Name, the Lord has directed us to follow the right path, the path of godliness)

Hindi Translation

श्लोक महला १॥ (Sache Tere Khand Sache Brahmand.....) हे प्रभु ! तेरी रचना के समस्त खंड-ब्रह्माण्ड सत्य हैं। तेरी रचना के चौदह लोक सत्य हैं और तेरी कुदरत के आकार (सूर्य, चन्द्रमा, तारे) भी सत्य हैं। तेरे समस्त कार्य एवं सर्व विचार सत्य हैं। तेरा हुक्म और तेरा दरबार सत्य है। तेरा आदेश और तेरा फुरमान सत्य है। हे प्रभु ! तेरा करम सत्य है और नाम रूपी परवाना भी सत्य है। लाखों-करोड़ों ही तुझे सत्य कहते हैं। सत्य (प्रभु) में ही समस्त बल एवं समस्त शक्ति है। तेरी महिमा और तेरी शोभा सत्य है। हे सच्चे पातशाह ! तेरी यह कुदरत सत्य है। हे नानक ! जो परम सत्य प्रभु का ध्यान करते हैं, वे भी सत्य हैं। लेकिन जो जीव जन्मते और मरते रहते हैं वे बिल्कुल कच्चे हैं।॥ १॥

महला १॥ उस परमात्मा की महिमा बहुत बड़ी है, जिसका नाम सारे विश्व में बहुत बड़ा है। भगवान की उपमा बहुत बड़ी है, जिसका न्याय सत्य है। उस मालिक की बड़ाई इसलिए भी बड़ी है, क्योंकि उसका आसन अटल है। उसकी महानता इसलिए भी बड़ी है क्योंकि वह अपने भक्तों की बात को जानता है। प्रभु का बड़प्पन इसलिए भी बड़ा है क्योंकि वह समस्त लोगों की प्रेम-भावना बूझ लेता है। प्रभु की प्रशंसा बहुत बड़ी है क्योंकि वह किसी से परामर्श किए बिना अपनी देन प्रदान करता है। उसकी बड़ाई इसलिए भी बड़ी है क्योंकि सब कुछ वह आप ही है। हे नानक ! उस प्रभु के कार्यों की व्याख्या नहीं की जा सकती। जो कुछ परमात्मा ने किया है, कर रहा है अथवा जो कुछ करेगा सब उसकी अपनी रज़ा है॥ २॥

महला २॥ यह जगत सच्चे प्रभु का घर है और उस परम सत्य का ही इसमें निवास है। कुछ जीवों को वह अपने हुक्म द्वारा स्वयं में लीन कर लेता है और कई जीवों का अपने हुक्म द्वारा नाश कर देता है। अपनी रज़ा से कुछ जीवों को वह माया से बाहर निकाल लेता है और कुछ लोगों का माया के जंजाल में निवास कर देता है। यह भी कहा नहीं जा सकता कि वह किसे संवार देगा। हे नानक ! यह भेद गुरु द्वारा ही जाना जाता है, जिसे परमात्मा खुद ज्ञान का प्रकाश करता है॥ ३॥

पउड़ी ॥ हे नानक ! ईश्वर ने जीवों को उत्पन्न करके उनको कर्मो का लेखा-जोखा करने के लिए धर्मराज को नियुक्त किया है। वहाँ धर्मराज के समक्ष सत्यानुसार ही निर्णय होता है और दुष्ट पापियों को चुनकर अलग कर दिया जाता है। झुठों को वहाँ स्थान नहीं मिलता और मुँह काला करके उन्हें नरक में धकेल दिया जाता है। हे प्रभु ! जो मनुष्य तेरे नाम में अनुरक्त हैं, वे जीत जाते हैं और जो ठग हैं वे हार जाते हैं। प्रभु ने धर्मराज को जीवों के कर्मो का लेखा लिखने हेतु नियुक्त किया है।॥ २॥
