2. English Translation

Raag Suhi Mahala Teeja Ghar Pehla Astpadian Ik onkar satgur prasad ( Naame Hi Te Sabh Kichh Hoaa )
"By the Grace of the Lord-Sublime, Truth personified & attainable through the Guru's guidance."

O Brother! This fact is to be clearly understood that it is through True Name alone that everything has been created as such knowledge and love are also the off-shoots of True Name. But we cannot attain the fruit of True Name without the Guru's Grace. Moreover, the taste of the Guru's teachings (guidance) is very sweet, which cannot be felt (realized) without partaking in it. But this human wastes this invaluable human life without achieving anything fruitful and proceeds from the world losing the gamble of life and being engrossed in worldly falsehood. This man does not attain even self-realization. However, the Guru-minded person realizes the Lord's secrets (attains the Lord) and gets rid of his sufferings by casting away his egoism. (1)

O Brother! I would offer myself as a sacrifice to the Guru, who has inculcated the love of the True Name in my heart. I have been enlightened within myself by meditating on the Guru's message. Thus I have perceived the Lord within myself leading to peace and tranquillity of mind. (Pause -1)

O Brother! The Guru-minded persons only sing the praises of the Lord as they have realized the value of the Lord and His True Name by meditating on the Guru's Word. The body and soul, created by the Guru's Word, are made fruitful and it is only through the Guru's Grace that all our jobs (chores) are made successful in the world. On the other hand, the faithless person functions through ignorance like a blind man, thus getting engrossed in vicious and sinful actions in the world. He always gets engulfed by worldly falsehood (Maya) without developing a love for the True Guru and finally suffers through various afflictions. (2)

The person, who serves the True Guru, is called His slave (disciple) and follows the Lord's Will. The Lord's Greatness and praise is real and true while the persons, who have inculcated the love of the Lord in their heart are also pure and true. Thus they sing the praises of the Lord when their mind is attuned to the Guru's Word. Thus the Guru-minded person, having cast away his egoism, recites the Guru's Word, who is our true benefactor, and is an embodiment of Truth, and enables such a Guru-minded person to listen to the Guru's true teachings (guidance). (3)

O Brother! The Guru-minded persons are only engaged in the service of the Lord, by acquiring the treasure of the True Name and helping others as well to recite True Name. Such a person is imbued with the love of the Lord and remains aloof in a state of equipoise. The self-willed persons, however, always tell lies, sowing the seeds of vicious and sinful actions, thus reaping the fruit of such actions. The faithless person is always burning in the fire of worldly desires and is caught in worldly bondage and the cycle of births and deaths. How could anyone else, except the True Guru, free him from this bondage? (4)

The Lord enables the person, who (bathes in the holy place of) and joins the company of the holy saints, to attain self-realization, The Sikhs (disciples) have gained the same benefit from the Guru's Word as by visiting all the sixty-eight holy places of pilgrimage, by following the Guru's guidance, as it is equivalent to that. Thus the filth of the mind and the sins are washed away through the Guru's teachings. (By having a bath in the tank of the Guru's message). The Guru's Word is always pure, which does not become dirty or pass filth to others. The Lord's praises are true along with the advice or guidance provided by it, which is attained through the Guru's guidance. (5)

This body and mind belong to the Lord but due to the false and impure guidance, one is not prepared to accept it. This man gets purified of heart when he is directed by the Lord's Will (Guru's guidance), thus casting away all the filth of his mind. The persons, who have followed the Guru's teachings with peace of mind, have subdued the (extinguished) fire of worldly desires. Such a person, immersed in the Guru's teachings, gets into a state of equipoise with peace of mind. Whosoever comes in his contact, also gets imbued with the same love and light of knowledge. (6)

The persons, who have developed the love of the Guru, consider the Lord's True Name as the fountainhead of all (worldly) bliss. The Guru-minded persons have attained True acclaim and honor from the Guru as they are imbued with the love of True Name. Hardly anyone deliberates and accepts the fact that the (one) True Lord sublime pervades everywhere and in all beings. The persons, who are enabled to join the company of the holy saints by the Lord, get acclaimed and honored with the true worship of the Lord and saved from going through the cycle of births and deaths. (7)

The same Lord pervades in all three ages but this fact is realized by a few Guru-minded persons alone through the Guru's guidance. Even the cycle of births and deaths is enacted by the Lord's Will and few persons only realize the Lord's secrets through the Guru's guidance, whose Will prevails, and consider themselves as an embodiment of the Lord. The Guru is pleased with the person, who recites his True Name and gets all his desires fulfilled. O Nanak! The person, who overcomes his egoism, casting away his I-am- ness, gains everything in life, being the master of everything. (8-1)

3. Hindi Translation

हे भाई ! परमेश्वर के नाम से ही सबकुछ उत्पन्न हुआ है, परन्तु सतगुरु के बिना नाम का ज्ञान नहीं होता। गुरु का शब्द मीठा महारस है लेकिन चखे बिना इसका स्वाद पता नहीं लगता। जिस इन्सान ने कौड़ियों के भाव अपना अमूल्य जन्म व्यर्थ ही गंवा लिया है, वह अपने आत्मस्वरूप को नहीं जानता। यदि वह गुरुमुख बन जाए तो वह एक परमात्मा को ही जाने और उसे अहम् रूपी दुख पीड़ित न करे॥ १॥

मैं अपने गुरु पर बलिहारी जाता हूँ, जिसने सत्य (प्रभु) से मेरी लगन लगा दी है! शब्द को पहचान कर मन में प्रकाश हो गया और मैं सहज ही सत्य में विलीन रहता हूँ॥ १॥ रहाउ॥

गुरुमुख परमात्मा के ही गुण गाता रहता है, वह परम-सत्य को ही समझाता है और शब्द का ही चिंतन करता रहता है। प्राण एवं शरीर सब गुरु से ही उत्पन्न होते हैं और गुरुमुख अपने कार्य संवार लेता है। मनमुखी अंधा आदमी अंधे कार्य ही करता है और वह संसार में माया रूपी विष ही अर्जित करता है। अत्यंत प्यारे गुरु के बिना वह माया के मोह में फँसकर सदा ही दुख प्राप्त करता है॥ २॥ वही सच्चा सेवक है, जो सतगुरु की सेवा करता है और गुरु की रज़ा में चलता है। परमात्मा का नाम सत्य है और उसकी कीर्ति भी सत्य है, अतः यह उस सत्य को ही मन में बसाता है। गुरुमुख तो सच्ची वाणी ही उच्चरित करता है और उसके अन्तर्मन में से अहंत्व दूर हो जाता है। सतगुरु स्वयं ही दाता है और उसकी कृपा भी सत्य है। वह हमेशा सच्चा शब्द ही सुनाता है॥ ३॥

गुरुमुख नाम की साधना करता है, नाम धन संचित करता है और दूसरों से भी परमात्मा के नाम का ही जाप करवाता है। वह सदा माया से निर्लिप्त रहकर सत्य के रंग में रंगा रहता है और गुरु के प्रेम द्वारा सहजावस्था में लीन रहता है। लेकिन मनमुखी सदैव झूठ ही बोलता है, माया रूपी वेिष बोता है और उस विष को ही खाता है। यह मृत्यु के बन्धन में फॅसकर तृष्णा की अग्नि में ही जलता रहता है। गुरु के बिना उसे मृत्यु से कौन छुड़ा सकता है॥ ४॥

सतगुर ही तीर्थ है, जहाँ सत्य (नाम) रूपी सरोंवर में स्नान होता है लेकिन गुरु स्वयं ही यह सूझ देता है। गुरु के शब्द ने ही अड़सठ तीर्थ दिखा दिए हैं, जहाँ स्नान करने से अहंकार रूपी मैल दूर हो जाती है। शब्द-गुरु शाश्वत है और वह निर्मल तीर्थ है, जिसे कोई मैल नहीं लगती है और न ही माया उसे मैल लगाती है। सच्ची महिमा-स्तुति पूर्ण गुरु से ही प्राप्त होती है॥ ५॥

यह तन एवं मन सबकुछ उस परमात्मा का दिया हुआ है परन्तु दुर्बुद्धि वाले व्यक्ति से यह कहा नहीं जाता। जब ईश्वर का हुक्म होता है तो उस की बुद्धि निर्मल हो जाती है एवं उसके मन में से अहंत्व दूर हो जाता है। जिस व्यक्ति ने गुरु की शिक्षा सहज ही धारण की है, उसकी तृष्णाग्नि बुझ गई है। वह गुरु के शब्द द्वारा प्रभु-प्रेम में मग्न हुआ सहज ही उस में समाया रहता है॥ ६॥

वह प्यारे गुरु की रज़ा अनुसार हरि का नाम सत्य मानता है। उसने गुरु से ही नाम की सच्ची बड़ाई प्राप्त की है और सत्य नाम से ही प्रेम करता है। एक सच्चा परमात्मा ही सबमें क्रियान्वित है लेकिन कोई विरला व्यक्ति ही इसका विचार करता है। जब प्रभु स्वयं ही जीव को अपने साथ मिला लेता है तो वह उसे क्षमा कर देता है और अपनी भक्ति द्वारा उसका जीवन सुन्दर बना देता है॥ ७॥

कोई गुरुमुख ही जानता है कि एक सत्य परमात्मा ही सबमें क्रियाशील है। दुनिया में जन्म एवं मृत्यु उसके हुक्म में ही हो रहा है। गुरुमुख ही अपने आत्मस्वरूप को पहचानता है। जब जीव परमात्मा के नाम का ध्यान करता है तो वह गुरु को बहुत अच्छा लगता है। वह जैसी इच्छा करता है, वही फल प्राप्त करता है। हे नानक ! जो अपने मन में से अहंकार समाप्त कर लेता है, उसका सब कुछ ठीक हो जाता है। ८ ॥ १॥

ਰਾਗੁ ਸੂਹੀ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਅਸ਼ਟਪਦੀਆਂ ॥ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ ॥ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥

ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤ੫ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਛ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ॥ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਮਿੱਠੜਾ ਧਰਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ॥ ਕੌਡੀ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ॥ ਜੇਕਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜ ਪਵੇ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਇਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀ ॥ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਤੋਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਅਨੰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥ ਠਹਿਰਾਉ ॥

ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਿਰਿਓਂ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਰਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਅਧਰਮੀ ਮੰਦੇ ਅਮਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਿਰੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੀ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਪਰਮ ਲਾਡਲੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਉਹ ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥

ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਟਹਿਲੂਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਟੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਨੇਕ-ਬੰਦਾ ਸੱਚੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਾਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਮਰਪਨ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਸਮਰਪਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਮਰਪਨ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੀ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਅੰਦਰ, ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਮਰਪਨ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਾਰਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਝੂਠ ਬਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਜਕੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਨੈ ਫੂਕ ਛਡਿਆ ਹੈ ॥ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਬੰਦਖਲਾਸ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਹੈ, ਜਿਥੇ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ-ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਦਰਸਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਅਠਾਹਠ ਤੀਰਥ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰ-ਬਾਣੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਖਾਲ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਧੋਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਸੱਚਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ॥ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਮਲੀਨਤਾ ਚਿਮੜਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ॥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥

ਦੇਹ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਮਲਕੀਅਤ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਖੋਟੀ ਬੁਧੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥ ਜੇਕਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਐਸੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਬੁਝ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸੱਚੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਇਕ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਟਾਂਵਾਂ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਜੇਕਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਅਨੁਰਾਗ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥

ਸਮੂਹ ਸੱਚ ਤੇ ਨਰੋਲ ਸੱਚ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਫਲ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਟ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਰਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
