English Translation

Rag Gond Mahala - 5 Choupade' Ghar - 2 Ik Onkar
Satgur Prasad (Jeea Pran Kiye Jin Saaj)

"By the Grace of the Lord-Sublime, Truth personified & attainable through the Guru's guidance."
O foolish Man! Why have you forgotten the True Master, who has blessed you with this body and soul, by placing His (Prime soul) light in this body (of dust) and giving you this greatness? Then the Lord has bestowed all the worldly pleasures including dainty foods (of all types) for your enjoyment. Then why do you forsake Him in the love of other worldly pleasures? (1)
O Man! Let us engage ourselves in the service of the Lord-Almighty (by singing His praises), while the Lord is realized (attained) through the Guru's guidance, who is unaffected by Maya (worldly falsehood). (Pause -1)
Oh, my mind! Let us always meditate and worship the Lord, who has created all the worldly pleasures of various hues (forms), and is responsible (controls) for the creation or destruction of this Universe in a moment, but we cannot describe His Great System, as it is all beyond our comprehension. (2)
The Lord is ever-existent being free from the cycle of births and death, and His virtues are limitless, so how could we evaluate His Greatness? The Lord is the fountainhead of all the jewels of True Name and is the supporter of all beings. (3)
His Name is True Master. (He is known by the name of True Lord) and by singing His praises all the sins of ages are cast away in no time. He is the beloved Lord and friend of the saints from the very beginning. O Nanak! The Lord is the True Master of our very life (existence) and a beloved of the heart. (We have inculcated His love in the heart). (4 1-3)

रागु गोंड महला ५ चउपदे घरु २ ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥ (Jeea Pran Kiye Jin Saaj)

जिसने बनाकर यह जीवन एवं प्राण दिए हैं, मिट्टी रूपी शरीर में अपनी ज्योति रखकर तुझे बड़ाई दी है। तेरे उपयोग के लिए सबकुछ दिया एवं स्वादिष्ट भोजन खिलाता है। अरे मूर्ख ! उस प्रभु को त्याग कर किधर भटक रहा है॥ १॥

परब्रह्म की सेवा में लग जाओ, उस निरंजन देव की सूझ तो गुरु से ही मिलती है॥ ५॥ रहाउ॥ जिसने अनेक प्रकार के खेल-तमाशे बनाए हैं, एक क्षण में ही सृष्टि की उत्पति एवं प्रलय कर देता है, उस परमात्मा की गति एवं विस्तार बयान नहीं किया जा सकता। हे मेरे मन ! ऐसे प्रभु का सदैव ध्यान करो ॥ २॥

वह सबका मालिक है, निश्चल है और जन्म-मरण के चक्र से दूर है। उसके गुण बेअंत हैं, जिन्हें गिना नहीं जा सकता। उसके नाम रूपी रत्नों के भण्डार भरे हुए हैं। वह सब जीवों को आधार देता है॥ ३॥

जिसका नाम सत्यपुरुष है, पल भर उसका यशगान करने से करोड़ों ही पाप मिट जाते हैं। वह बालसखा एवं भक्तजनों का घनिष्ठ मित्र है। एकमात्र वही नानक का प्राणाधार एवं शुभचिन्तक है॥ ४॥ १॥ ३॥

ਰਾਗ ਗੋਂਡ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਚਉਪਦੇ ॥ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ ॥ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ (Jeea Pran Kiye Jin Saaj)

ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੰਦ-ਜਾਨ ਬਣਾਈ ਤੇ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਨੂਰ ਟਿਕਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵਸਤੂ ਇਸਤਿਮਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਨ ਲਈ ਖਾਣੇ ਪਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ; ਉਸ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਤੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਥੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੋੜ ॥ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਠਹਿਰਾਉ ॥

ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਲ੍ਹ ਰਚੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਦਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ, ਉਸ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀਏ! ਤੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ॥ ਅਹਿੱਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਹਨ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੂਬੀਆਂ ॥ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੇਕੀਆਂ ਕਿੰਨੀਆਂ ਕੁ ਗਿਣਾ? ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਖਜਾਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਿਆਂ ਮਾਣਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰੀਪੂਰਲ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਰਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਾਪ ਧੋਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਬਚਪਨ ਦਾ ਬੇਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਜਣ ਹੈ ॥ ਮਾਲਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ-ਜਾਨ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ॥
