ਪੰਜ ਪਿਆਲੇ ਪੰਜ ਪੀਰ ਛਟਮ ਪੀਰ ਬੈਠਾ ਗੁਰ ਭਾਰੀ॥
ਅਰਜਨ ਕਾਇਆਂ ਪਲਟ ਕੈ ਮੂਰਤ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਵਾਰੀ॥
ਚਲੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਸੋਢੀਆਂ ਰੂਪ ਦਿਖਾਵਨ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰੀ॥
ਦਲ ਭੰਜਨ ਗੁਰ ਸੂਰਮਾਂ ਵਡ ਜੋਧਾ ਬਹੁ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ॥
ਪੁਛੱਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ ਛੇ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਕ ਦਰਸ ਨਿਹਾਰੀ॥
ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਬੋਲੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ॥
ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਸੋਢੀਆਂ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਨੀਨ ਉਸਾਰ ਖਲ੍ਹਾਰੀ॥
ਜੁਗ ਜੁਗ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਧਰੇ ਅਵਤਾਰੀ ॥੪੮॥

English Translation

From Guru Nanak to Guru Arjan Dev, Five Pirs were there who drank from the five cups(of truth, contentment, compassion, dharma, and discerning wisdom), and now the sixth great Pir is holding the Guruship.
Arjan (Dev) transformed himself into Harigobind and sat majestically.
Now the Sodhi lineage has started and they all will show their selves turn by turn.
This Guru, the vanquisher of armies, is very brave and benevolent.
The Sikhs prayed and asked that they have seen the six Gurus (how many more are to come).
The true Guru, the knower of the unknowable and seer of the invisible told the Sikhs to listen to.
The lineage of the Sodhis has been established on a sound foundation.
Four more Gurus will come to earth (yuga 2, yuga 2 i.e. 2+2=4)
