ਬਿਹਾਗੜਾ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥ ( Har Charan Sarovar Teh Karoh Nivas Manaa...) ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਾ ਤਾਲਾਬ ਹਨ ॥ ਓਥੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀਏ! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਤਾਲਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਧੋਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀਏ! ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ, ਤੇਰੀ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਦਾ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ॥ ਉਹ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਚੱਕਰ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਂ ॥ ਉਥੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਨਸ਼ਾਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਨੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਕਰ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੰਵਲ ਰੂਪੀ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਸਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ॥

ਉੱਥੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਮੌਜ-ਬਹਾਰਾ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਓਥੇ ਗੂੰਜਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਇਕੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨੇਕ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਹਰੇ ਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਇਕੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਿੱਜ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੱਜਣ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਫੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਦੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੜੇ ਕੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ, ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਧਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹੋਂ ਫੜ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿੱਜ ਦੇ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋਦੜੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤੀ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥

ਤੂੰ ਹੇ ਪਰਮ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਕਰ ॥ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕੇਵਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਇਸ ਅਕਹਿ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਪ ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਹ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਮਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਝਗੜੇ, ਬਖੇੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਖੜੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਪਾ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ॥ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਤੂੰ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਪਾਲਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਧਾ-ਸਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰ ॥

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੂਆ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਲਤਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ॥ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਏਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਦੀ ਮਾਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ॥ ਇਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੀ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ, ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਮਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ॥ ਉਹ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਘਾਅ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿੜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਜਹਾਨਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਦੱਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਰਚਨਾ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥

English Translation

Bihagra Mahala - 5th ( Har Charan Sarovar Teh Karoh Nivas Manaa...)

O my mind! You should rest yourself at the lotus feet of the Lord taking them as the holy water tank. Oh my mind! You should wash away all your sins by having a dip in the river of the meditation of True Name in the company of holy saints of the Lord. In fact, all the darkness of your ignorance and sufferings will be dispelled by having a bath (dip) in the Lord's meditation, the True Name of your great friend, Gobind. Such persons then do not have to suffer the torture of the cycle of births and deaths as their bondage of Yama (god of death) has been disbanded. Such Guru-minded persons then have their desires and hopes fulfilled by developing love and devotion for the True Name in the company of holy congregations. O Nanak! Once the Lord bestows His Grace on us, we get our abode established at the lotus feet of the Lord. (and recite True Name all the time). (1)

O Brother! The persons, who establish their abode at the lotus feet of the Lord enjoy the eternal bliss by listening to the (all pervasive) unstrung music of Nature, in the company of holy saints, and acclaim the greatness of the Lord, the true Master. Such Guru-minded persons, who sing the praises of the Lord in the company of holy saints are liked and accepted by the Lord as they are always imbued with the love of the True Lord. They have benefitted by the attainment of the Lord, from whom they had been separated for ages, by getting rid of their egoism. In fact, the True Master, whose limitless form is beyond our comprehension, had got hold of our arm, thus saving us with His support and control of our conscience, when we were blessed with His Grace. O Nanak! The Lord always pure and perfect, bestows on us the bliss of life incessantly through the Guru's Word, and guidance. (2)

O fortunate persons! Listen to the nectar of the True message of the Guru, (Gurbani) the omnipresent Lord, every day, and such persons, pre-destined by the Lord's Will teach it in their hearts. Such Guru-minded persons, who are blessed with Lord's Grace, have known the story of the unknown secrets of the Lord, thus becoming immortal and free from the fear complex of death. They never suffer death, and get freed from the world's afflictions (Kalyug) and any other mental reservations or tortures. By taking refuge at the lotus feet of the Lord, they are fully absorbed in the love of the True Master, who never forsakes them in the future. O Nanak! Let us also sing the praises of the Lord with the help of Guru's Word, (Gurbani) the nectar of True Name; and thus attain the reward of the Lord's unison through this nectar of Guru's Word. (3)

Then such Guru-minded persons, are engrossed in the love of the Lord so much that it is rather a beyond description and they finally merge with the Lord, who has created them. They have finally united with the Lord, like the warp and woof of a weaver or like water mixing with water, and have become a part of the Transcendent Lord everywhere, pervading all lands, oceans (waters), and Patala or Earth and Skies as there is no other power to be seen. No one could ever gauge His depth or greatness, as the Lord pervades perfectly in all three worlds including all greenery and grass. O Nanak! The Lord alone knows His True form and real secrets and He alone knows this worldly drama as no one else appreciates it. My only prayer is that the greatness of the Lord is beyond our comprehension. बिहागड़ा महला ५ ॥ ( Har Charan Sarovar Teh Karoh Nivas Manaa...) हे मेरे मन ! भगवान के चरण पावन सरोवर हैं, यंहा पर अपना निवास करो। हे मेरे मन ! भगवान के पावन सरोवर में स्नान करो, क्योंकि वहाँ पर तेरे सभी दु:ख संताप नाश हो जाएँगे। उस गोविन्द-साजन के नाम-सरोवर में सदा स्नान करो, जिससे दु:ख के अँधेरे का नाश हो जाता है। जीव की जन्म-मरण के चक्र से मुक्ति हो जाती है, क्योंकि प्रभु उसकी यम (मृत्यु) की फाँसी काट देता है। संतों की सभा में शामिल होकर नाम-रंग में लीन रहो, यहाँ हर आशा पूर्ण हो जाएगी। नानक प्रार्थना करता है कि हे हरि ! कृपा धारण करके मुझे अपने सुन्दर चरण-कमल में निवास दीजिये ॥ १ ॥

वँहा पर सदा आनंद तथा हर्षोल्लास है और अनहद शब्द गूंजता रहता है। संतजन मिलकर प्रभु का यशोगान करते हैं तथा उसकी जय-जयकार करते रहते हैं। संतजन अपने मालिक को लुभाते हैं, वे अपने स्वामी की गुणस्तुति करते हैं तथा उसके प्रेम-रस के रंग में भीगे रहते है। वे अपने स्वामी की गुणस्तुति करते है तथा उसके प्रेम रस के रंग से जुदा हुए उससे मिल जाते हैं। एक अगम्य एवं अपार प्रभु उन पर अपनी दया-दृष्टि करता है और उन्हें अपनी भुजा से पकड़ कर अपना बना लेता है। नानक प्रार्थना करता है कि उनके मन में सदैव निर्मल सच्चा अनहद शब्द रुनझुन-झंकार करता रहता है ॥ २ ॥

हे भाग्यशाली ! परमात्मा की अमृत वाणी सुनो। जिनकी किस्मत में यह अमृत वाणी लिखी होती है, उनके हृदय में यह प्रविष्ट हो जाती है। जिस पर प्रभु आप कृपा करता है, उसे ही उसकी अकथनीय कथा का ज्ञान होता है। ऐसा जीव अमर हो जाता है और फिर मृत्यु को प्राप्त नहीं होता, उसके सभी दुख-क्लेश तथा संताप विनष्ट हो जाते हैं। वह भगवान की शरण प्राप्त कर लेता है जो उसे त्याग कर कहीं नहीं जाता और प्रभु की प्रीति उसके मन-तन को लुभाती है। नानक प्रार्थना करता है कि हे जीव ! हमें सदैव ही पवित्र अमृत-बाणी का गुणानुवाद करते रहना चाहिए॥ ३ ॥

परमात्मा की अमृत-वाणी में मन तथा तन इतना लीन हो जाता है कि कुछ कथन नहीं किया जा सकता। जिस (परमेश्वर) ने प्राणी को पैदा किया था, वह उसी में लीन हो जाता है। वह ब्रह्मज्योति में ताने-पेटे की भातिं ऐसे विलीन हो जाता है जैसे जल, जल में ही मिल जाता है। एक परमात्मा ही जल, धरती एवं गगन में मौजूद है, दूसरा कोई दृष्टिगोचर नहीं होता। वह वन, तृण एवं तीनों लोकों में परिपूर्ण व्यापक है तथा उसका मूल्यांकन नहीं किया जा सकता। नानक प्रार्थना करता है कि जिस परमात्मा ने यह सृष्टि-रचना की है वह स्वयं ही इस संबंध में सब कुछ जानता है। ॥४॥२॥५॥
