Guru Granth Sahib Sampuranta Divas 2024
"Guru Granth Sahib Sampuranta Divas" marks the completion of the holy scripture of Sikhism, Guru Granth Sahib. Compiled by Guru Arjan Dev, the book was taken to Sri Harimandir Sahib in Amritsar on August 16, 1604. Later due to family issues with Dhirmal, Guru Gobind Singh Ji completed the Guru Granth Sahib by adding Bani of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The completion date is celebrated annually as Guru Granth Sahib Sampuranta Divas.

In the journey of preserving Sikh scripture, an early manuscript called the Guru Harsahai Pothi is claimed to be one of the oldest, though this claim is debated. Another significant copy, the Damdami-Bir, was written by Bhai Mani Singh under Guru Gobind Singh's guidance. There's a tradition of Baba Deep Singh making another version.
