ਸੂਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ॥

ਅਹਿੱਲ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ, ਜਿਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਵੇ ਪਾ ਲਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਚਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ॥ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਬਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ॥ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਬਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਮੂਹ-ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ, ਵੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਰੀਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹਨ ॥ ਪੂਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫਤਾਂ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਾਰ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਖੁਦ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਖੁਦ ਮੇਰਾ ਰੱਖਿਅਕ, ਖੁਦ ਮੇਰੀ ਅੰਮੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਬਾਬਲ ॥ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਫਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥

ਗ੍ਰਿਹ, ਮਹਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਜਾਰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਸਾਧੂ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਅਮਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜੱਪਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਇੰਜ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਮੇਵੇ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਸਾਧੂ ਤੇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਆਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਭੋਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ, ਤਕਲੀਫ ਤੇ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥

ਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਬਖਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਨਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਪਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲਤਾ, ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਿੱਜ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਰੰਭ ਅਤੇ ਯੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਰਖਿਅਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਧਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਰਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ ਦਸੀਂ ਪਾਸੀ ਪਰੀਪੂਰਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਵਰਣਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ॥ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਫਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਘੋਲੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸਥਿਰ ਬੁਨਿਆਦ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੈ ॥

ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਗਿਆਤ ਤੇ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਵਾਰਤਾ, ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਥੇ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥ ਉਥੇ, ਡਰ ਨਾਸ-ਕਰਨਹਾਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗੀਤਕ ਸਾਜ਼ ਇਕ ਰਸ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਦੀ ਗੂੰਜ, ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਦੀ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਵਾਰਤਾ, ਉਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਤਾਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਕਰਮ ਹਨ ॥ ਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਗਿਲਾਜ਼ਤ ਧੋ ਸੁੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖਲਾਸੀ ਪਾ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ਉਥੇ ਨਾਂ ਜੰਮਣਾ ਨਾਂ ਮਰਣਾ, ਨਾਂ ਆਉਣਾ ਨਾਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਂਣਾ ਹੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਸਦਕਾ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ॥

Suhi Mahala 5th ( Abchal Nagar Gobind Guru Ka... )

O Brother! The company of the holy saints is like the peaceful and stabilized town of the "Lord's Abode", where the Guru-minded persons have always enjoyed peace and bliss by reciting the True Name. This place (town) has been established by the True Master Himself and the people abiding there always get their desires fulfilled and attain whatever they have wished for. Since this town has been created by the Lord Himself such people living there enjoy all the worldly comforts, and the Guru's sons, brothers, or Sikhs find all the (worldly) joy and bliss there. They sing the praises of the perfect Lord, so they get their jobs (functions) completed successfully. The owner of this town of holy saints is the True Lord Himself who is its protector as well and protects everyone like the mother and father. O Nanak! I would offer myself as a sacrifice to the Guru, who has made this place of holy saints (holy congregations) so beautiful and charming. (The Lord has created this human body as a beautiful abode for Himself and the persons, who have made this place worthwhile for the Lord to live in, enjoy the eternal bliss and the Guru's Sikhs make this life purposeful.) (1)

The company of holy saints, where the Lord's saints abide, singing the Lord's praises, have enjoyed the peace of body, mind, and soul. The saints recite Lord's True Name in such a place, which helps them to cut off the bondage of Yama (god of death). Such persons who abide in the company of holy saints, recite True Name all the time, thus cutting away the Yama's noose. They have made good use of this human life (capital investment) and all their worldly desires have also been fulfilled, thus getting all the cherished fruits of their labor. Thus the holy saints, having cast away their afflictions and sufferings including dual-mindedness, enjoy eternal bliss and worldly comforts. O Nanak! I offer myself as a sacrifice to such holy congregations (of holy saints) wherein the Guru has purified all the persons with His teachings and guidance.(2)

O Brother! We have attained the boon of the Lord's Grace which goes on increasing day by day. The True Master, whose greatness is beyond words or our comprehension, has protected our honor during, all four ages. The Lord, who is the protector of the saints, has bestowed His blessings and benedictions on us. All the beings, big and small, have been sustained by the Lord. O Nanak! The praises and Greatness of the Lord are spread out in all the ten directions of the world and we fail to assess His Greatness or depth. I am a sacrifice to such a Guru, who has laid the foundation of the holy congregations so strongly and solidly. (3)

O Lord (Ram)! The saints always listen to the discourses of the Lord's True Name in the company of holy saints, which makes the company of holy saints perfect through the knowledge gained from the Guru's guidance by listening to the Guru's teachings. They enjoy the bliss of the Lord, the worldly drama of the True Master which casts away the fear complex and the Guru's Word. They hear the Unstrung Music of Nature, like the singing of the Lord's praises (kirtan). There one hears the discourses of the holy saints on Truth daily. By reciting True Name, we could cast away all our sins and impurities. O Nanak! We have attained the Lord in the company of holy saints through the Guru's guidance which saves us from the cycle of births and deaths. Thus through the Guru's Grace, we get all our desires fulfilled by attaining the Lord-sublime. (4-6-9)

सूही महला ५ ॥ गुरु परमेश्वर की यह पावन नगरी निश्चल है और यहाँ पर नाम जप कर सुख उपलब्ध होता है। परमेश्वर ने स्वयं इसे बसाया है और यहाँ पर मनोवांछित फल की प्राप्ति होती है। ईश्वर ने स्वयं नगरी को बसाया है, यहाँ पर सर्व सुख फल प्राप्त होते हैं और पुत्र, भाई एवं शिष्य सभी प्रसन्न रहते हैं। पूर्ण परमेश्वर के गुण गाने से सारे कार्य सम्पूर्ण हो गए हैं। प्रभु स्वयं सबका स्वामी है, स्वयं सबका रखवाला और स्वयं सबका माता-पिता है। हे नानक ! मैं सतिगुरु पर बलिहारी जाता हूँ, जिसने यह स्थान सुन्दर बना दिया है।॥ १॥

जिसके हृदय में नाम का निवास हो गया है, उसकी दुकानों सहित घर एवं मन्दिर सुन्दर बन गए हैं। संत एवं भक्त सभी हरि नाम की आराधना करते रहते हैं और उनकी यम की फॉसी कट गई है। जो हरि नाम का ध्यान करते रहते हैं, अविनाशी प्रभु ने उनकी यम की फाँसी काट दी है। प्रभु-भक्ति के लिए सारी सामग्री पूरी हो गई है और उन्होंने मनोवांछित फल पा लिया है। सज्जन संत सुख में आनंद मना रहे हैं और उनके दुख-दर्द एवं भ्रम सब नाश हो गए हैं। हे नानक ! पूर्ण सतगुरु ने शब्द द्वारा उनका जीव सुन्दर बना दिया है और मैं सदैव उस पर बलिहारी जाता हूँ॥ २ ॥

मालिक-प्रभु की देन पूरी हुई है और यह नेित्य बढ़ती रहती है। जिस परमात्मा की बड़ाई बहुत बड़ी है, उसने मुझे अपना बना लिया है। सो वह प्रभु मुझ पर दयालु हो गया है, जो युग-युगांतर से अपने भक्तों का रखवाला बना हुआ है। उसने सभी जीव-जंतु सुखी वसा दिए हैं, वह प्रभु स्वयं सबका पालन-पोषण करता है। दसों दिशाओं में स्वामी का यश फैला हुआ है और इसकी महत्ता के लिए शब्द उपलब्ध नहीं। हे नानक ! मैं सतगुरु पर बलिहारी जाता हूँ, जिसने (अमृतसर) नगर की अटल नींव रखवाई है॥ ३॥

यहाँ पर संत एवं भक्त पूर्ण परमेश्वर के ज्ञान एवं ध्यान की चर्चा करते रहते हैं और नेित्य इरि कथा सुनते रहते हैं उनके मनु में श्रुतूहलू बावजते रहते हैं और भवनाशक प्रभु के भक्त अनहद शब्द सुनते एवं विलास करते रहते हैं। उनके मन में अनहद शब्द की झंकार होती रहती हैं। वहीं नेित्य संतों की ज्ञान-गोष्ठी होती है और परमतत्व का विचार होता रहता है। वह हरिनाम की आराधना करके अपनी अहंकार रूपी मैल दूर करते हैं और सब पापों को दूर कर देते हैं। इस तरह उनका न जन्म होता है, न मरण होता है, अपितु आवागमन समाप्त हो जाता है और इस तरह वे दोबारा योनियों में भी नहीं पड़ते। हे नानक ! उन्होंने गुरु-परमेश्वर को पा लिया है, जिसकी कृपा से सब मनोकामनाएँ पूरी हो गई हैं।॥ ४॥ ६॥ ६॥
