Kal Taran Guru Nanak Aaya

"Kal Taran Guru Nanak Aaya" is mentioned in Vaaran Bhai Gurdas Ji. ਸੁਣੀ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਗ ਮਾਹਿ ਪਠਾਇਆ।
ਚਰਨ ਧੋਇ ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਕਰਿ ਚਰਣਾਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸਿਖਾਂ ਪੀਲਾਇਆ।
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਇਕ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ।

English Translation

The Lord, in his benevolence, heard the cries of humanity and sent Guru Nanak to this world.

Guru Nanak, with divine humility, washed his feet and offered praises to God, sharing the nectar of his devotion with his disciples.

In the midst of the darkness of the Kali Yuga, Guru Nanak preached that the divine essence of the universe, whether it be with qualities (Saragun) or without (Nirgun), was one and the same.

With his teachings, Guru Nanak established righteousness upon four pillars, bringing together all the castes of humanity through brotherhood and love.

He taught that the poor and the prince were equal, spreading the importance of bowing humbly at the feet of others.

Through his wisdom, Guru Nanak made even the egotistical submit to the will of the divine.

Baba Nanak, the enlightened one, saved the world from the darkness of Kali Yuga, reciting the "Satinam" mantra for the benefit of all.

Guru Nanak came as the redeemer of the Kali Yuga, shining a light of hope and love in the midst of the world's darkest hour.

English Translation

Baghdad and the mighty citadels of the Pirs bowed before his greatness. Mecca and Medina, all humbled by his presence.

The eighty-four Siddhas and the hypocrites of the six schools of Indian philosophy were brought under his sway.

Conquering the millions of worlds, both above and below, he established the cycle of Satinaam, the true name, throughout the nine divisions of the earth.

All gods, demons, rakshasas, daityas, and even Chitragupta, bowed before him in reverence.

Indra and his nymphs sang songs of joy, filling the world with an aura of auspiciousness.

With his coming, Guru Nanak brought deliverance to the dark age of Kaliyug, making both Hindus and Muslims humble and submissive.

सुणी पुकार दातार प्रभ, गुरु नानक जग माहे पठाया
चरन धोय रहरास कर, चरणामृत सिखां पीलाया
पारब्रह्म पूरन ब्रह्म, कलजुग अंदर इक दिखाया
चारे पैर धर्म दे, चार वरन इक वरन कराया
राणा रंक बराबरी, पैरीं पवणा जग वरताया
उल्टा खेल पिरम्म दा, पैर ऊपर सीस निवाया
कलजुग बाबे तारेया, सतनाम पढ़ मंत्र सुणाया

गढ़ बगदाद निवाए कै, मक्का मदीना सभे निवाया
