2. English Translation
Todi Mahala Panjva ( Maai Mere Man Ki Pyaas... )
O (mother) holy saints! My heart is longing to have a glimpse of the Lord (Lord's Vision) as I cannot exist without perceiving the Lord even for a moment, and am always pining for getting His glimpse. (Pause)
I have got rid of all the vicious thoughts and sinful actions by reciting the True Name of the True Master, who is free from the effects of Maya. O blissful Lord-benefactor! You are omni- present, pervading the whole universe, and are ever-existent. The Lord appears so charming and beautiful while His praises are pure and true. (1)
O Nanak! I have got all the ambitions of life (desires) fulfilled through the Grace of the holy saints, and have attained the treasure of True Name through the benevolence of the Lord. My mind has been enlightened with it (with True Name) as if millions of Suns are shining within, thus gaining peace and tranquillity of mind. The bliss of True Name has been realised by me with the Grace and company of the holy saints. (2-5-24)

ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਨ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਰਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਸ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਪਿਆਸ (ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ) ।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਜਿਸ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ (ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦੀ) ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦਾ, ਉਸ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦਾ, ਉਸ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੈਂ (ਸਦਾ) ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ, ਹੇ ਮਾਂ) ਮਨ ਤੋਂ, ਤਨ ਤੋਂ, ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੧।
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਰਾਦਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਹਨ। (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ, (ਮਾਨੋ) ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਸੂਰਜਾਂ ਦਾ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।੨।੫।੨੪।

टोडी मः ५ ॥ माई मेरे मन की पिआस ॥ इकु खिनु रहि न सकउ बिनु प्रीतम दरसन देखन कउ धारी मनि आस ॥ रहाउ ॥ सिमरउ नामु निरंजन करते मन तन ते सभि किलविख नास ॥ पूरन पारब्रह्म सुखदाते अबिनासी बिमल जा को जास ॥१॥ संत प्रसादि मेरे पूर मनोरथ करि किरपा भेटे गुणतास ॥ सांति सहज सूख मनि उपजिओ कोटि सूर नानक परगास ॥२॥५॥२४॥
हे माँ! मेरे मन में (प्रभु-दर्शन की) प्यास लगी हुई है। प्यारे प्रभु के दर्शन किए बिना मैं एक पल भी नहीं रह सकता/सकती। मेरे मन में केवल उनके दर्शन पाने की ही आस बनी हुई है॥ रहाउ ॥
मैं उस माया-रहित सृजनहार प्रभु के नाम का स्मरण करता/करती हूँ, जिससे मन और शरीर के समस्त पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं। वह पारब्रह्म सर्व-व्यापक (पूर्ण), सुखों के दाता और अविनाशी हैं, और जिनकी महिमा/यश परम पवित्र है॥१॥
संतों (गुरू) की कृपा से मेरी सभी मनोकामनाएँ पूरी हो गई हैं, और कृपा करके गुणों के खजाने प्रभु मुझे मिल गए हैं। हे नानक! (प्रभु के मिलने से) मन में शांति, आत्मिक सहजता और सुख उत्पन्न हो गया है, मानो मन के भीतर करोड़ों सूर्यों का प्रकाश फैल गया हो॥२॥५॥२४॥
