ਹੁਕਮਨਾਮਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਤਾਪੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੇ ॥ ਵਾਜੇ ਅਨਹਦ ਤੂਰੇ ॥ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੇ ॥ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਿ ਦੀਨੇ ॥੧॥ ਬੇਦਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਗਵਾਈ ॥ ਸਿਖ ਸੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਸਰਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਜੋ ਮੰਗਹਿ ਸੋ ਲੇਵਹਿ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਣਿਆ ਸੰਤਾ ਦੇਵਹਿ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਵਿਦੁ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥੨॥੬॥੭੦॥

2. English Translation

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
Sorath Mahala 5
When the Lord blessed us with His Grace and benevolence, the perfect Guru has helped (Har Gobind) by lessening the fever,

ਤਾਪੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
Taap gavaaiyaa gur poore
When the Lord blessed us with His Grace and benevolence, the perfect Guru has helped (Har Gobind) by lessening the fever,

ਵਾਜੇ ਅਨਹਦ ਤੂਰੇ ॥
Vaaje anhad toore
which has resulted in great rejoicings at home and now the all-pervasive (Unstrung) music of Nature is being heard all over.

ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੇ ॥
Sarab kaliaan prabh keene
The True Master has bestowed on us all the joy and bliss of life through His Grace and benevolence.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਿ ਦੀਨੇ ॥੧॥
Kar kirpaa aap deene ||1||

ਬੇਦਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਗਵਾਈ ॥
Bedan satgur aap gavaaee
The True Guru (Lord) has eliminated our sufferings and afflictions through His Grace.

ਸਿਖ ਸੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਸਰਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sikh sant sabh sarse hoe har har naam dhiaaee ||Rahaa-o||
All the Sikhs and saints, imbued with the love of the Lord's True Name, are overjoyed with happiness and thrilled (over the recovery of Har Gobind).
(Pause)

ਜੋ ਮੰਗਹਿ ਸੋ ਲੇਵਹਿ ॥
Jo mangeh so leveh
Infact, whatever the holy saints long for and desire from the Lord, get their prayers accepted and fulfilled,

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਣਿਆ ਸੰਤਾ ਦੇਵਹਿ ॥
Prabh apniaa santa deveh
as the Lord always bestows His benedictions and favours on His devotees.

ਹਰਿ ਗੋਵਿਦੁ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥
Har Govind prabh raakhiaa
So the True Lord has saved (the life of) Har Gobind from this deadly fever through His Grace.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥੨॥੬॥੭੦॥
Jan Nanak saach subhaakhiaa ||2||6||70||
O Nanak! Whatever the Lord's slave (devotee) has stated is perfectly True and has always taken the support of Truth (True Lord).
(2-6-70)

My perfect Guru, cured fever.
Unfrictioned sound is playing upon trumpets.
Master made him fully healthy
Becoming kind He blessed with it.
My true Guru Himself cured the agony of ailment.
All Sikhs, saints, are rejoicing, and are remembering the name of God. (pause)
Whatever one prays for, he is granted
Master gives to His saints.
The Master saved Hargovind.
Nanak, the man of God, speaks this truth.

3. Punjabi Translation

ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤਦੋਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ) ਭਾਰੀ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਛਾ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਅਨਹਦ ਨਾਦ ਦੀ ਧੁਨ ਗੂੰਜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿਚ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਭਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਪੀੜਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹਨ, ਵੱਡੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ) ਉਲਾਸਿਤ ਹੋਏ ਪਏ ਹਨ।

ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਸੰਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬੱਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਰਾਖੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸੱਚ (ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

4. Hindi Translation

सोरठ महला ५ ॥ ताप गवाया गुर पूरे ॥ वाजे अनहद तूरे ॥ सरब कलिआण प्रभ कीने ॥ कर किरपा आप दीने ॥१॥ बेदन सतगुर आप गवाई ॥ सिख संत सभ सरसे होए हर हर नाम धिआई ॥ रहाओ ॥ जो मंगहे सो लेवहे ॥ प्रभ अपणिआ संता देवहे ॥ हर गोविद प्रभ राखिया ॥ जन नानक साच सुभाखिया ॥२॥६॥७०॥

जब परमात्मा ने अपनी कृपा और दया की वर्षा की, तब पूर्ण गुरु ने (हरगोबिंद जी की) तीव्र बीमारी को दूर कर दिया। घर में आनंद और हर्ष का माहौल बन गया, और अब हर ओर प्रकृति की अनाहत (अप्राकृतिक, बिना वादन के बजने वाली) ध्वनि गूंज रही है। सच्चे सतगुरु ने अपनी कृपा से हमारे जीवन को सुख और आनंद से भर दिया।

सतगुरु ने स्वयं हमारे दुःख और पीड़ा को मिटा दिया। सभी सिख और संत जो हरि नाम के प्रेम में लीन हैं, अत्यंत प्रसन्न हैं और (हरगोबिंद जी के स्वास्थ्य लाभ से) खुशी से झूम रहे हैं।

सच तो यह है कि जो भी संत प्रभु से जो कुछ भी माँगते हैं, उन्हें वह सब प्राप्त होता है। प्रभु अपने प्यारे भक्तों को सदा अपनी दातें देता है। उसी प्रभु ने हरगोबिंद जी की जानलेवा बीमारी से रक्षा की। भक्त नानक कहते हैं कि जो भी उन्होंने कहा है, वह बिल्कुल सत्य है क्योंकि उन्होंने सदा ही सत्य (सच्चे परमात्मा) का सहारा लिया है।
