Devgandhari 5
Mother! He who lauds the Lord
His coming to the world is fruitful; he remains attuned to God (1) Refrain
He is beautiful, accomplished, heroic, and enlightened,
In the company of the holy who takes part.
He chants the Lord's Name from his tongue
No more is he in transmigration cast. (1)
He has the Supreme Preceptor prevail in his body and mind,
Never has he anyone else sought.
He has not inflicted the torture of hell,
Says Nanak, who has His apron caught. (2) 14

Maa-ee jo prabh ke gun gaavai
Safal aa-i-aa jeevan fal taa ko Paarbrahm liv laavai ||1|| Rahaa-o ||
Sundar sugharh soor so beta jo saadhoo sang paavai
Naam uchaar kare har rasnaa bahurh na jonee dhaavai ||1||
Pooran Brahm raviaa man tan meh aan na drishti aavai
Narak rog nahee hovat jan sang Nanak jis larh laavai ||2||14||
O, Mother! The person, who sings the praises of the Lord and concentrates on the remembrance of the Lord, makes a success of this human life and gets the reward of this life. (in the form of salvation) (Pause-I)
The person, who gets into the company of holy saints, is truly beautiful, clever, brave, and learned. He further purifies his tongue by reciting the Lord's True Name with it, thus saving himself from the torture of going through the cycle of births and deaths. (1)
O, Nanak! Such a Guru-minded person does not perceive any other power (gods) except the Lord and remains immersed in the perfect Lord both in body and spirit (mind).
Then such a Guru-minded person merges with the Lord, as the Lord accepts such a person into His fold through the company of holy saints, dispelling all his fear-complex (about death) and sufferings. (2-14)

ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਣਾ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੁਚੱਜਾ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਟਕਦਾ।੧।
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੜ ਲਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਨਰਕ ਤੇ ਰੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਆਪਦੇ, ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ) ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ।੨।੧੪।

देवगंधारी ५ ॥ हे माँ! जो व्यक्ति प्रभु के गुण गाता है, उसका दुनिया में जन्म लेना सफल है,उसे जीवन का फल प्राप्त हो जाता है और वह परब्रह्म में लगन लगाता है॥ १॥ रहाउ॥
जो व्यक्ति साधसंगत प्राप्त करता है, वह सुन्दर, बुद्धिमान, शूरवीर तथा ज्ञानवान है। अपनी रसना से वह हरि के नाम को उच्चरित करता है तथा दोबारा योनियों में नहीं भटकता ॥ १॥
उसके मन एवं तन में पूर्ण ब्रहा बसा रहता है और उसके अलावा उसे कोई दिखाई नहीं देता। हे नानक ! जिसे प्रभु अपने साथ मिला लेता है, उसे संतजनों की संगति करने से नरक का रोग नहीं लगता ॥ २॥ १४॥
