ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਰਹਤ ਰਹੈ ਨਿਰਾਰੀ

English Translation

Ramkali Mahala – 5 ( Trai Gunn Rehat Rahe Nirari )

This soul remains aloof (above) from the effects of the three-pronged Maya, which has not been realized by the Sidhas or Sadiks even (mendicants) engaged in penance or meditation. This invaluable abode of the jewel of the (nectar of) True Name is full of the nectar, which is found in the treasures of the True Guru. (This jewel of True Name is available with the True Guru in a perfect form.) (1)

O, Brother! This worldly drama of the Lord is really wonderful and indescribable. This precious- jewel (of True Name) lies hidden within. (Nature’s secrets are hidden from us). (Pause – 1)

The invaluable Lord is beyond all description and cannot be evaluated. How could anyone even try to describe His greatness and worth?
It is only the person, who has perceived a glimpse of the Lord, who could appreciate and enjoy the bliss of the Lord’s unison as He is beyond all realization being wonderful. (2)

The Lord-creator alone knows His Greatness, as the helpless created person has no knowledge of His great form. The Lord is replete with all the treasures of the world and He alone could know the extent of His Greatness and depth. (3)

We have tasted the nectar of True Name which has satiated us from all the worldly possessions (of both the worlds). O Nanak! I have got all my desires and hopes fulfilled as I have sought refuge at the lotus feet of the True Guru. (4 – 4)

Punjabi Translation

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ( Trai Gunn Rehat Rahe Nirari ) ਇਕ ਅਨੋਖਾ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਾਬਤ ਕੁਝ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। (ਅਨੋਖਾ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਕ) ਕੀਮਤੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤਕ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਜੋਗ-ਸਾਧਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੁੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੋਗ-ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ-ਵਸਤੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ) । ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੈ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਣ-ਰਤਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਕਾ-ਨਕ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਕੋਠੜੀ।੧।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਨਾਮ-ਵਸਤੂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਜੀਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਕਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਦੱਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। (ਉਸ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਾਂ) ਦੱਸਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਅਕਲ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ। ਹਾਂ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਵਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੨।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀਵ ਵਿਚ ਅਜੇਹੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ। ਤੇ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਕੇਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ-ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ) । ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਨੂੰ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਪੂਰੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਜ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।੪।੪।

रामकली महला ५ ॥ ( Trai Gunn Rehat Rahe Nirari )

हरिनाम तीन गुणों से रहित एवं निराला ही बना रहता है और सिद्ध-साधक भी इसकी महत्ता नहीं जानते। सतगुरु के खजाने में रत्नों की कोठरी है, जो अमृत से भरी हुई है॥ १॥

इसका आश्चर्य कथन नहीं किया जा सकता और यह नाम रूपी वस्तु अपहुँच है॥ १॥ रहाउ॥

जब इसका मूल्यांकन नहीं किया जा सकता तो क्या कोई कहे अथवा सुनाए। इसे कथन करने एवं कहने की किसी को कोई सूझ नहीं है। जो भी इसे देखता है, उसकी प्रीति इसमें लग जाती है।॥ २॥

परमेश्वर सब जानता है, फिर जीव बेचारा क्या जानता है ? भक्ति का पूर्ण भण्डार परमेश्वर स्वयं ही अपनी गति एवं विस्तार को जानता है॥ ३॥

ऐसा नाम रूपी अमृत रस मन ने चखा है, जिससे वह तृप्त एवं संतुष्ट हो गया है। हे नानक ! सतगुरु की शरण लेने से मेरी अभिलाषा पूरी हो गई है॥ ४ ॥ ४ ॥
