Mil Panchoh Nahi Sehsa Chukaya, Sikdaarahu Nahi Patiaaeya is Today’s Mukhwak from Darbar Sahib Amritsar in Early Morning Parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji on Dated July 25, 2022. Created by Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, said Hukam is documented in Raga Sorath on Ang 621 of SGGS.

English Translation

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੩ ਚਉਪਦੇ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਮਿਲਿ ਪੰਚਹੁ ਨਹੀ ਸਹਸਾ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ॥ ਸਿਕਦਾਰਹੁ ਨਹ ਪਤੀਆਇਆ ॥
ਉਮਰਾਵਹੁ ਆਗੈ ਝੇਰਾ ॥ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਾਜਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਿਬੇਰਾ ॥੧॥

Sorath Mahala – 5 Ghar – 3 Chaupade Ik Onkar Satgur Prasad ( Mil Panchoh Nahi Sehsa Chukaya ) “By the Grace of the Lord-sublime, Truth personified & attainable through the Guru’s guidance.”

By meeting the learned persons of the town we could not get rid of our doubts and misgivings, (the fear complex of the five vices like sexual desires); even the leading men (pandits and astrologers) could not clarify our doubts or whims and fancies.

Even when our wrangling and misgivings were presented to the officials, there was no answer to our hurdles. But by meeting the True Guru all our doubts (including dual-mindedness) about the five vices were clarified, (and the reward of our actions was settled). (1)

ਅਬ ਢੂਢਨ ਕਤਹੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਭੇਟੇ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਸਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Now we have attained complete self-realization as such our wanderings have come to an end. We have attained the Lord through the Guru’s guidance, who is the True Master of the world. (Pause)

ਆਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ

ਆਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥ ਤਾ ਸਗਲੀ ਮਿਟੀ ਪੂਕਾਰਾ ॥
ਲਬਧਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਾਈ ॥ ਤਾ ਕਤ ਆਵੈ ਕਤ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥

When I landed up in the presence of the Lord, all my doubts and the quest came to an end, as I attained the Lord, whom I had been seeking all this while, which gave me peace; of mind without wandering here and there. (2)

ਤਹ ਸਾਚ ਨਿਆਇ ਨਿਬੇਰਾ ॥ ਊਹਾ ਸਮ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਮ ਚੇਰਾ ॥
ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਜਾਨੈ ॥ ਬਿਨੁ ਬੋਲਤ ਆਪਿ ਪਛਾਨੈ ॥੩॥

In the Lord’s presence, everything is fairly decided on the basis of Truth (True justice) without any distinction between – the king or the poor servant. The Lord is omniscient, so He knows our inner feelings, without even telling Him about our shortcomings (and sins). (3)

ਸਰਬ ਥਾਨ ਕੋ ਰਾਜਾ ॥ ਤਹ ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦ ਅਗਾਜਾ ॥
ਤਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਕਿਆ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ॥ ਮਿਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਈ ॥੪॥੧॥੫੧॥

The company of the holy saints is the highest and noblest place where only the praises of the Lord are sung, (virtuous teachings are imparted) and the all-pervasive music of Nature is heard.

O Nanak! In the presence of the Lord (the company of there is no question of one’s own cleverness; in fact in the company of holy saints, we could cast away all our egoism, (and unite with the Lord). (4-1-51)

सोरठ महला ५ घरु ३ चउपदे
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसाद ॥
मिल पंचहु नही सहसा चुकाया ॥ सिकदारहु नह पतीआया ॥ उमरावहु आगै झेरा ॥ मिल राजन राम निबेरा ॥१॥ अब ढूढन कतहु न जाई ॥ गोबिद भेटे गुर गोसाई ॥ रहाउ ॥ आया प्रभ दरबारा ॥ ता सगली मिटी पूकारा ॥ लबध आपणी पाई ॥ ता कत आवै कत जाई ॥२॥ तह साच निआइ निबेरा ॥ ऊहा सम ठाकुर सम चेरा ॥ अंतरजामी जानै ॥ बिन बोलत आप पछानै ॥३॥ सरब थान को राजा ॥ तह अनहद सबद अगाजा ॥ तिस पहि क्या चतुराई ॥ मिल नानक आप गवाई ॥४॥१॥५१॥

अर्थ

सोरठ महला ५ घरु ३ चउपदे
ईश्वर एक है, जिसे सतगुरु की कृपा से पाया जा सकता है।

पंचों से मिलकर मेरा संशय दूर नहीं हुआ और चौधरियों से भी मेरी संतुष्टि नहीं हुई। मैंने अपना झगड़ा अमीरों-वजीरों के समक्ष भी रखा लेकिन जगत के राजन राम से मिलकर ही मेरा झगड़े का निपटारा हुआ है॥ १॥

अब मैं इधर-उधर ढूँढने के लिए नहीं जाता चूंकि सृष्टि का स्वामी गुरु-परमेश्वर मुझे मिल गया है॥ रहाउ॥ जब मैं प्रभु के दरबार में आया तो मेरे मन की फरियाद मिट गई। जो मेरी तकदीर में था, वह सब मुझे मिल गया है और अब मैंने कहाँ आना एवं कहाँ जाना है ? ॥ २॥

वहाँ सत्य के न्यायालय में सच्चा न्याय होता है।प्रभु के दरबार में तो जैसा मालिक है, वैसा ही नौकर है। अंतर्यामी प्रभु सर्वज्ञाता है और मनुष्य के कुछ बोले बिना ही वह स्वयं ही मनोरथ को पहचान लेता है।३॥

वह सब स्थानों का राजा है, वहाँ अनहद शब्द गूंजता रहता है। उसके साथ क्या चतुराई की जा सकती है ? हे नानक ! अपने अहंकार को दूर करके प्रभु से मिलन करो।॥ ४॥ १॥ ५१॥

ਤਿਲੰਗ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤਾ ਕੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ) ਵੇਦਾਂ ਕਤੇਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵਧ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ) ਦਿਲ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਮ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੰੁਦਾ । (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਲਕ ਭਰ ਹੀ ਟਿਕਾਓ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਦਿੱਸੇਗਾ (ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਤਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਏਗੀ) ।1।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ) ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਖੋਜ, (ਬਹਿਸ ਮੁਬਾਹਸੇ ਦੀ) ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਭਟਕ । ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਇਕ ਜਾਦੂ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਸ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ) ਹੱਥ-ਪੱਲੇ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ੈ ਨਹੀਂ ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਬੇ-ਸਮਝ ਲੋਕ (ਅਨ-ਮਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ) ਪੜ੍ਹ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ (ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਲਿਿਖਆ ਹੈ) ਝੂਠ (ਹੈ), ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ । (ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਿ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਰੱਬ ਖ਼ਲਕਤ ਵਿਚ (ਭੀ) ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਨਾਹ ਉਹ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ) ਨਾਹ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕ਼੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਹੈ ।2।

(ਸਤਵੇਂ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਰੂਪ ਦਰਿਆ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਹਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂµ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ । ਸੋ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰ, (ਇਹ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ) ਐਨਕ ਲਾ (ਕੇ ਵੇਖ), ਉਹ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ।3।

ਰੱਬ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ (ਹਸਤੀ) ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ), ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਕਰਾਂ, ਜੇ ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੋਵੇ । ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! (ਇਸ ਭੇਤ ਨੂੰ) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਮਝਣ-ਜੋਗ ਬਣਾਏ । ਤੇ, ਇਹ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਉਸ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਹੈ ।4।1।
