English Translation

Rag Devgandhari Mahala 5th Ghar 3rd – Ik Onkar Satgur Prasad ( Meeta Aise Har Jio Paaye )

“By the Grace of the One Supreme Lord, Truth personified & attainable through the Guru’s guidance.”

O, friend! I have attained such a Lord, who is always present by my side day and night and never leaves my company. Then we sing the praises of the Lord, True Master day and night, in the company of the holy saints, through the Guru’s guidance. (Pause-1)

I have now attained the Lord, the fountainhead of all comforts and joy and most charming and enchanting beloved Lord, who would never desert me and go elsewhere. I have seen multifarious articles of beauty. and worldly possessions but nothing could equate a fringe of the Lord’s wonderful form or power. (1)

O, Nanak! We are enjoying the honor of being accepted at the beautiful Lord’s court through good fortune, and are enjoying the bliss of reciting True Name, listening to the (all-pervasive) unstrung music of Nature; thus merging with the Lord finally. Now the beloved Lord-Spouse is perceived residing in our hearts and we remain immersed in the True Name of the Lord, thus enjoying the eternal bliss of life. (2-1- 27)

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਅਜੇਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਲੱਭ ਲਏ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ, (ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ) ਹੋਰ ਬਥੇਰੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ (ਵਿਅਕਤੀ) ਵੇਖ ਲਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਵਾਲ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।੧।

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਆ ਟਿਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਰਸ ਧੀਮਾ ਧੀਮਾ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਸੋਭਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।੨।੧।੨੭।

रागु देवगंधारी महला ५ घर ३ ईश्वर एक है, जिसे सतगुरु की कृपा से पाया जा सकता है।

मैंने मित्र रूपी ऐसा भगवान पा लिया है, जो मुझे छोड़कर नहीं जाता और हमेशा ही मेरे साथ रहता है, गुरु से मिलकर मैं रात-दिन उसका यशोगान करता रहता हूँ॥ १॥ रहाउ॥

मुझे सर्व सुख देने वाला मनोहर प्रभु मिल गया है और वह मुझे छोड़कर कहीं नहीं जाता। मैंने विविधि प्रकार के लोग देखे हैं किन्तु वे मेरे प्रिय-प्रभु के एक रोम की समानता भी नहीं कर सकते॥१॥

उसका मन्दिर बड़ा कीर्तिमान तथा द्वार बहुत शोभावान है, जिसमें मधुर अनहद ध्वनि गूंजती रहती है। हे नानक! मैं सदा आनंद भोगता हूँ, क्योंकि प्रिय-प्रभु के घर में मुझे सदैव स्थिर स्थान मिल गया है॥ २ ॥ १॥ २७ ॥
