Translation in English

Gaurhi Kabir Ji ( Jeh Marnai Sabh Jagat Trasia )

The death, from which the whole world is frightened and scared, with the Guru’s Word and guidance, I have completely gotten rid of my fear complex with a clear knowledge about death and my mind is enlightened. (1)

Now I wonder how to die, as I have already accepted humility and realized my nothingness, amounting to death in life itself by ridding myself of ego. Those persons, who have not realized the Lord’s presence, die a sort of death, every day being deprived of Lord’s love. (Pause-1)

Though everyone talks of death daily but the person who has accepted the practical form of death, while still alive, by achieving humility, and ridding oneself of ego; one becomes immortal, having accepted the real form of death. (2)

Says Kabir, Now I am enjoying perfect bliss of life, as by getting rid of my dual-mindedness and doubts (misgivings) I perceive the Lord pervading everywhere, and His presence is seen all around. (3-20)

गौड़ी कबीर जी ॥ ( Jeh Marnai Sabh Jagat Trasia ) जिस मृत्यु से सारी दुनिया भयभीत हुई रहती है, उस मृत्यु का यथार्थ गुरु के शब्द द्वारा प्रकट हो गया है (केि मृत्यु वास्तव में क्या है)॥ १॥
अब मैं कैसे जन्म-मरण (के चक्र) में पडूंगा ? मेरे मन ने मृत्यु को वश में कर लिया है। जो लोग राम को नहीं जानते, वे बार-बार जन्मते -मरते रहते हैं।॥ १॥ रहाउ॥
दुनिया में प्रत्येक प्राणी मृत्यु ‘मृत्यु’ कह रहा है, केवल वही (मनुष्य) अमर होता है, जो ज्ञान द्वारा मरता है॥ २॥
हे कबीर! मेरे मन में आनंद उत्पन्न हो गया है। मेरी दुविधा का नाश हो गया है और परमानंद हृदय में स्थित है। ३॥ २० ॥

( Jeh Marnai Sabh Jagat Trasia ) ਜਿਸ ਮੌਤ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਡਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੌਤ ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਹ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ।1।

ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਪਵਾਂਗਾ? (ਭਾਵ, ਨਹੀਂ ਪਵਾਂਗਾ) (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਤੀਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। (ਕੇਵਲ) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਈ) ।1। ਰਹਾਉ।

(ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿਚ) ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ‘ਮੌਤ, ਮੌਤ’ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਘਾਬਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ) , (ਪਰ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਖ਼ਾਹਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਅਮਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਡਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ) ।2।

ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! ਆਖ– (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਭੁਲੇਖਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਚੁਕਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਸੁਖ (ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਟਿਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।3। 20।

ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ: ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ; ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਡਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। 20।
