Aape Kanda Aap Taraaji

Aape Kanda Aap Taraaji, Prabh Aape Tol Tolaaiya; is Hukamnama from Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Darbar Sahib, Amritsar on Dated November 7, 2022. Satguru Ramdas Ji has penned the pious Hukam and is documented in SGGS Ji, on Ang 605-606 in Raga Sorath.

English Translation

Sorath Mahala – 4
( Aape Kanda Aap Traji )

The Lord (pervades all the things and beings) is Himself the weighing machine or the balance, Himself the various weights, and Himself the person weighing all these things. The Lord Himself is the financier (banker) and the trader even, and Himself engages in the business of life as a trader. He has enacted this-worldly drama and acts Himself in various forms The Lord Himself has created this Earth, and then created the human beings by the combination of the five elements. (1)

O, my mind! Let us recite the True Name of the Lord, to enjoy the bliss of life. My beloved Lord is the fountain-head of all the wealth of True Name and the Guru has enabled us (through the Guru’s guidance) to taste this sweet nectar of True Name. (Pause)

The beloved Lord is the Earth and the (water) ocean seven, being omnipresent, and then causes everything to happen as it pleases Him. The Lord Himself follows the Lord’s Will and has managed to keep both the Earth and the water intact together side by side through His Will. The Lord Himself causes the world to be afraid of Him (to have His wonder-awe) and has kept both the lion and the goat together just as water and Earth (through the laws of Nature). (2)

The Lord Himself is the (log of) wood and Himself the heat (fire) within the log of wood, having kept both the wood and the fire together. The Lord pervades everywhere and due to His fear; there is no worry or the possibility of fire due to the wood and. (heat) fire being kept together. The Lord Himself causes our death and then makes us alive again and all the human beings, who are seen breathing (living this life) are made to breathe through His Grace only. (3)

The Lord Himself is the power, and Himself the support (help) against this worldly bondage and engages the whole world in various chores. We are made to function as per the Lord’s Will and as it pleases Him. O, Nanak! The Lord Himself is the human being and the musical instrument producing certain tunes from it and the world functions as it suits Him as per His WilL (4-4)

मेरे मन हरि हरि धिआए सुख पाया ॥ हरि हरि नाम निधान है प्यारा गुर पूरै मीठा लाया ॥ रहाउ॥
आपे धरती आप जल प्यारा आपे करे कराया ॥ आपे हुकम वरतदा प्यारा जल माटी बंध रखाया ॥ आपे ही भउ पाइदा प्यारा बंन बकरी सीहु हढाया ॥२॥

हिन्दी अर्थ

( Aape Kanda Aap Traji )

सोरठि महला ४ ॥ प्रभु आप ही (तराजू का) कांटा है, आप ही तराजू है और उसने आप ही बाटों से जगत को तोला है। वह स्वयं ही साहूकार हैं, स्वयं ही व्यापारी है और स्वयं ही वाणिज्य करवाता है। उस प्रियतम प्रभु ने आप ही धरती का निर्माण किया है और एक चार माशे के बाट से इसका वजन किया है॥ १॥

हे मेरे मन ! हरि-परमेश्वर का सिमरन करने से सुख प्राप्त हुआ है। प्यारा हरि-नाम सुख-समृद्धि का भण्डार है और पूर्ण गुरु ने मुझे यह मीठा लगा दिया है॥ रहाउ॥ वह स्वयं ही धरती एवं स्वयं ही जल है और वह स्वयं ही सबकुछ करता और जीवों से करवाता है। वह प्यारा प्रभु स्वयं ही हुक्म लागू करता है और जल एवं भूमि को बांधकर रखता है। वह प्यारा स्वयं ही जीवों में भय उत्पन्न करता है और बकरी एवं शेर को साथ बांधकर रखा हुआ है॥ २॥

प्यारा प्रभु आप ही लकड़ी भी है और लकड़ी में उसने स्वयं ही अग्नि को रखा हुआ है। वह प्यारा स्वयं ही लकड़ी एवं अग्नि दोनों में क्रियाशील है और उसके भय कारण अग्नि लकड़ी को जला नहीं सकती। मेरा प्रियतम प्रभु स्वयं ही मारकर पुनः जीवित करने वाला है और सभी लोग उसकी दी हुई सांसें लेते हैं।॥ ३॥

वह प्यारा प्रभु स्वयं ही शक्ति और अटल दरबार है और स्वयं ही उसने जीवों को कामकाज में लगाया हुआ है। हे प्यारे ! जैसे वह स्वयं चलाता है, वैसे ही हम चलते हैं, जैसे मेरे हरि-प्रभु को अच्छा लगा है। वह स्वयं ही संगीतकार और संगीत (यंत्र) है। हे नानक ! | मनुष्य वैसे ही बजता है, जैसे प्रभु उसे बजाता है॥ ४॥ ४॥

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ, (ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ) ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ (ਆਪਣੀ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਤੱਕੜੀ ਦੇ) ਪਿਛਲੇ ਛਾਬੇ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਰ ਮਾਸੇ ਦਾ ਵੱਟਾ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਧਾਰਨ ਤੇ ਸੌਖਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ) ।

ਉਹ ਤੱਕੜੀ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੱਕੜੀ ਦੀ ਸੂਈ (ਬੋਦੀ) ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੱਟੇ ਨਾਲ (ਇਸ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ) ਤੋਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ) ।

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਵਣਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ) ਸ਼ਾਹਕਾਰ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵ-ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਵਣਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵਣਜ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ) ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਕਾਰ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ) ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ (ਪਾਣੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੋੜ੍ਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਡਰ ਪਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਮਾਨੋ) ਬੱਕਰੀ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਫਿਰਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।੨।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਲੱਕੜੀ (ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ) ਹੈ, (ਆਪ ਹੀ ਅੱਗ ਬਣਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ) ਲੱਕੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਅੱਗ ਟਿਕਾ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਰਤਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ) ਅੱਗ (ਲੱਕੜ ਨੂੰ) ਸਾੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਜੀਵਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੀ ਸਾਹ ਲੈ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।੩।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਤਾਕਤ ਵਰਤਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਹਾਕਮ ਹੈ, (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੱਜਣ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਚੱਲ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵ-) ਵਾਜਾ (ਬਣਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਵਾਜਾ ਵਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ-ਵਾਜੇ ਉਸੇ ਦੇ ਵਜਾਏ ਵੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।੪।੪।
